rob liefeld has developed a few notable toons but deadpool was comic relief not main line like cable etc.
i think he is still smarting over being booted off marvels last major reboot becouse his art work was at its worst in ages.
the deadpool story realy is as antagonist to weaponX wolverine and his popularity grows out of the fact he still is comic relief to any other comic toon.
didnt deadpool have his own run under marvel but where was liefeld, some other company i believe so why didnt he stay with deadpool and help promote the toon, sour grapes is what i read from his twitter he didnt mention cable not being busy of late no just deadpool becouse stories of a deadpool movie means recognition and money.

If this were anyone else, I'd say they had a point..but it's Rob frackin Liefield. He is not aloud to have an opinion on ANYONE'S talent or lack thereof. Ever.

i still have rob liefeld's cable number 1 and his captain america from heroes reborn that after about 5 issues some one else takes over and the art improoves tenfold, nothing against liefeld he can be a good comic book artist etc but sadly he does lack commitment and seems easily put off, seems the lure of money, recognition etc has taken his mind for the moment.

All I can say is he has a point seeing as Deadpool has made Marvel some good money in recent years. And he stood his ground on what he was right about and apoligized for being a bit brutal toward the teams, even though he was right especially about him thriving despite being written by Daniel Way who either didn't give a damn or is just simply a hack writer.

I'm comic illustrator also and although I work on the rule that anatomy in comics can be exaggerated...

Liefields work borders on ridiculous...no other credible artist would ever submit their work with wonky eyes like Liefield has...and dont even get me started with the Captain 'pufferfish' America piece!!!

I think Liefield thinks a little too much of himself!!!

Liefeld is [frick]ing D-list, Deadpool's not that great a character either. Oh and [frick] Greg Land and Marvel for hiring him. Liefeld can't draw but at least he tries :)

@ thegambitfreak, at least in that picture the shield is fully round but looking at it judge dredds jaw and no nose let alone the venom infusion he must have stolen from bane to bulk up like that was about the least good looking cap since he first apeared, liefeld did draw a nice shield :)(but any monkey with a pencil and a few cans could have done it aside:) )

If Deadpool is thriving why put so called A-listers on that book? Recall that Thor got Coipel and JMS because a new volume was being started after 3 years.

Brian Posehn is really funny and a massive comic book nerd. He is also more well known than most "A List" comic book writers and will probably attract new readers.

I also think he'll do a great job and make it really dark and funny.

Where I do get where he was going, he really stuck his foot in his mouth. Deadpool is my favourite character and I would be lying if I wasn't worried that this new team is still going to turn him into a [frick]ing laughable joke. I want it taken by Remender, he can write Deadpool as a bad ass and still have funny humour like the clip above. With Way on that title he made him like a bumbling idiot that just happens to with from being an idiot and thats not Deadpool. Crazy, funny, goof off, yeah; but also extremely deadly and is an extreme tactician besides the cards he shows you. THATS how he should be written, just like in volume 1. I just hope that Posehn and Duggen don't prove Leifield right and totally continue to [frick] over my favourite title.

I'm better than Liefeld and I CAN PROVE IT.

I did this in 15 minutes. In paintbrush. With a mouse.

It has better proportions and anatomy than most things he's ever done.

And I'm not even kidding.

I see Liefelds point that they never put their BEST writers on Deadpool.... but he couldve worded it WAY better. A way that didnt insult the teams on the book, but still made his point to Marvel.

But Liefeld has always been a punk in the industry
