Script turned in for "Cowboys and Aliens"

Script turned in for "Cowboys and Aliens"

"Star Trek" writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman along with "Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof are awaiting the approval of their script.

After taking some time in creating a screenplay that could potentially turn into a theatrical release in the not too distant future, Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman; whom we all know were attached to "Star Trek," along with the co-creator of “Lost” are awaiting the approval from a rather prestige panel of judges…Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, Brian Gazer and also the man many see as landing the lead role…Robert Downey Jr.

"We're just literally waiting to hear if they hate it or what," Orci said regarding feedback on the script. "We're waiting to hear from the principals. We try not to turn it in until we think it's ready. Obviously, there are always things you can improve." Although they feel the script is “ready,” only time will tell what the producers feel about their hard work.

I personally have no knowledge of this comic book and never heard of it until this afternoon, but with the names I’ve read who penned the script as well as the producers judging the script, I’m open to see how things will turn out. Now, let’s say the script does get the green light from the panel, it may not fit into the schedule of Downey Jr. If that happens, I wonder who else they have in mind.

Thanks a lot bro...

I didn't think it would make the front page but apparently it did. What I would like to know is whether or not anyone has ever read this comic book before because I'm totally clueless on it.

what else does RDJ have coming out that might prevent him from being in this movie?

@NJDevil...that's where I'm a bit lost. If you check his film scheduling, it doesn't show much going on really. Iron Man is already in post production, he will be voicing a character in "Oobermind." Funny thing is, he plays a cartoon superhero "Metro Man" who is the arch rival of Ben Stiller's villain called "oobermind."

After that, they only list The Avengers but that's in pre production.

I hope I'll be able to bring valid articles from now on

According to wikipedia (yeah i know)...

"An extraterrestrial species lands in Arizona in the mid-1800s. The aliens plan to quash the Wild West and enslave humanity, but the cowboys and native Apache have other plans."

Could be cool if done right i guess

Hey cool First article @ Whispers!!! ; )

Hope ya enjoying it!

I dunno about RDJ in this, it seems abit out of place, maybe he'll be too busy with AVENGERS or something, Josh what's his name from LOST would be perfect for this role.

Thumbs up!
