DEADPOOL 2: It Sounds Like Cable And The Merc With The Mouth Will Definitely Be Coming To Blows

It was yesterday that Ryan Reynolds revealed our first look at Deadpool 2's Domino but what fans really want is a sneak peek at Josh Brolin suited up as Cable. We'll just have to keep on patiently waiting for that to come but in an interview to promote his new movie The Hitman's Bodyguard, Reynolds had nothing but good things to say about his co-star and dropped some hints about their relationship.

As expected, it appears as if the two heroes will be coming to blows when they cross paths on the big screen for the first time, something which probably won't surprise fans of their comic book exploits!

"I think it’s going to be very interesting," Reynolds said of their dynamic during a chat with Fandango. "I’ve spent this last week on the business end of many Josh Brolin punches. Both verbal and physical and literal and it’s going to be pretty fantastic. He’s going to be epic. He’s going to be an epic Cable."

That sounds downright awesome and it already appears as if the way these two exchange both verbal and physical blows will be a highlight of the 2018 release. The hunt for the perfect Cable too Reynolds and 20th Century Fox quite a bit of time so you have to believe the actor isn't exaggerating with his praise here. What do you guys think? As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

I don't understand how Cable is going to work here. Cable came back in time to kill Apocalypse, as far as the cartoons go (in the comics, it was to find Cannonball, a mutant he thought was immortal), and he's Scott and Madelyn Prior's son. You take those away and he's just some soldier. Deadpool might as well be fighting John Cena.

I'm interested how Cable and Domino are worked into the story. Especially the reason that Cable comes to the past. I wonder if it'll be tied to the villain? The news that they're gonna fight actually has me excited for some reason, I don't know why. It's a good start to my first day back to school. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to seeing how Brolin portrays Cable. I wanna see what he looks like, too.

That first look at Domino yesterday now has me worried about how Fox is gonna handle Cable's look in this movie...

Cable's metal skin will just be turned into a prosthetic arm or something lame..

I can almost hear the scrunching of the black leather already. *cringe*

@xfan320 -

His arm isn't metal...it's just gonna be a severe case of psoriasis.

Good. I hope Cable punches his head off, then sows his mouth shut again.

It was the part Brolin was born to play...

...that and Batman...
...and Thanos...
...and Brand...

@IronGenesis - I will still always wonder how a Brolin Batman could have turned out.

@MattBellissimo - seems Snyder and Terrio were very locked in on their version of Bruce/Batman in BvS...everything Affleck did I am envision Brolin doing only maybe looking more badass.

Other differenses?

1.) Brolin seems to enjoy the gym and playing these roles and money. So we probably wouldn't be in the situation we are in now with Affleck.

2.) The visual massive Hulking Batman that Snyder and many liked would probably have been switched up. Brolin doesn't seem as physically imposing as Affleck.

I like how people conviently ignore how the inaccurate the mcu is.

@ALostCause - its not the mcu inaccuracy that bothers me, but the way they handle all the thor related charachter. I know its based on marvel, but the real northern mythology is way more interesting (also to adept)
