DEADPOOL Star Ryan Reynolds' Hilarious Match Advert Sees Satan Fall In Love With... 2020

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds has released a new advert for the Match dating app via his Maximum Effort production company, and it sees The Devil find himself a perfect match made in Hell.

The video, which features a sneak peek of Taylor Swift's latest tune "Love Story," begins with a sombre Satan  - who looks a lot like Tim Curry's Lord of Darkness from Ridley Scott's Legend getting a notification on his phone and heading to Earth to meet his match, who turns out to be the personification of 2020.

Sparks fly between Lucifer and the year we're all eager to put behind us, as they set off together to cause as much mayhem and misery as possible while doing things the rest of us haven't been able to, like work out at the gym and go to the theater (is that Suicide Squad they're watching?).

After some toilet paper thievery and a spot of dumpster fire posing, the happy couple sit down to watch hellfire rain down on the planet.

There really is someone out there for everyone!

The ridiculous shorts Reynolds put out is often pretty funny. And yeah, 2020 is pretty shitty. But hey, atleast Billy Ocean is my most listened to artist on Spotify.

I sometimes wonder what 2020 would have been like if it weren't for COVID. Sure, we'd probably be able to see the movies that were delayed but I think we'd still see protests, civil unrests, and other tragedies regardless. In the end, thinking about what the year could have been is a useless endeavor and all we can do is look forward to the future and hope it's better.

Did anyone notice that Satan and 2020 were watching New Mutants in that empty theater? That's pretty funny.

@MovieMonster - Was in The New Mutants? I though that was actually El Diablo from Suicide Squad!

I bet even Satan is tired of 2020.

Ummm....Taylor Swift put out "Love Story" as a country song a long, long time ago. Idk where you're getting "sneak peak" and "new tune."

@Lhornbk - I'd assume it's the new recording she's done, since she's remaking all of her old music to reclaim the rights.

I especially enjoyed the lightning striking the squirrel when they first meet, and the dumpster being on fire as they take the selfie. Subtle touches. Well-done.
