Disney Will Air Two To Four Trailers During This Year's Super Bowl As Most Studios Give The Event A Miss

The Super Bowl is fast approaching, and for film fans, the most exciting thing about the event are the trailers shared during commercials. As you might expect, most studios won't be forking out for pricey TV spots this year, especially when there's no guarantee those movies will even be released.

Amazon will share a trailer for Coming 2 America after acquiring the sequel from Paramount Pictures, but that studio won't be hyping up any of its delayed titles (like Top Gun: Maverick and A Quiet Place Part II). This was to be expected, of course, and execs are understandably cautious right now.

As per usual, Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. are giving the Super Bowl a miss, and that means we won't be getting anything new from Zack Snyder's Justice League. Universal Pictures, however, will have at least one trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's new thriller, Old

On the plus side, Deadline confirms that Disney is expected to have between two and four trailers. Raya and the Last Dragon is a strong possibility, as is Black Widow. However, it seems the priority could be streaming titles like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Loki. For Disney, it's worth generating excitement for its streaming platform, especially if it increases subscribers.

We'll have to wait and see, but keep checking back here for the latest updates!
