We're still being a bit careful here just in case some of you haven't had the chance to see Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness yet, so be warned that major spoilers for the movie's mid-credits scene follow.
Sam Raimi's sequel featured two post-credits scenes, the first of which saw the Master of the Mystic Arts taking a little stroll down Bleeker Street before encountering a mysterious female magic-wielder played by Charlize Theron. Though she doesn't introduce herself, the sequence marked the Mad Max: Fury Road star's MCU debut as the Sorcerer Supreme of the Dark Dimension and niece of the Dread Dormammu, Clea.
Theron recently shared a first official look at her character via social media, and has now followed-up with a brief behind-the-scenes costume test video which gives us a much more detailed look at Clea's outfit. The ensemble is mostly comic-accurate, though the shoulder pads have come in for a bit of backlash!
In the comics, Clea becomes a close ally, lover and eventual wife of Strange. We don't know what Marvel Studios has planned for this powerful new hero, but she does tell Stephen that she needs him to help her deal with an incursion he caused, so it sounds like more Multiversal adventures await in the inevitable threequel.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now playing in theaters.
