Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be the first Marvel Studios movie of 2022, and there's a huge amount of excitement surrounding the Sorcerer Supreme's next adventure.
Now, Hasbro has revealed the first wave of Marvel Legends action figures, and they've given us a lot to talk about. Wong and "Master Mordo" both have new looks, while America Chavez is looking very cool indeed. There's no sign of the Scarlet Witch, and it's worth noting that the Sleepwalker and D'Spayre figures are based on the comic books rather than the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Where things get really interesting, though, is with our first look at Rintrah. He's been a rumoured part of the Doctor Strange sequel's cast for a while now and, on the page, he was an extradimensional being who repaired the Sorcerer Supreme's Cloak of Levitation after it was damaged in battle. Later, he'd serve as an apprentice to Strange, so the character is one with plenty of potential.
Even more intriguing is "Defender Strange." That's a very different look for Stephen, but is it reflective of what the hero goes through in this story or an interdimensional Variant, perhaps? We'll see, but that recent trailer description could shed some light on what might be going on here.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6, 2022.
