DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS Action Figures Reveal Rintrah And "Defender Strange"

Hasbro has shared a look at its Marvel Legends figures for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and there are some very interesting reveals. Read on for mores, but be warned of possible spoilers.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be the first Marvel Studios movie of 2022, and there's a huge amount of excitement surrounding the Sorcerer Supreme's next adventure.

Now, Hasbro has revealed the first wave of Marvel Legends action figures, and they've given us a lot to talk about. Wong and "Master Mordo" both have new looks, while America Chavez is looking very cool indeed. There's no sign of the Scarlet Witch, and it's worth noting that the Sleepwalker and D'Spayre figures are based on the comic books rather than the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Where things get really interesting, though, is with our first look at Rintrah. He's been a rumoured part of the Doctor Strange sequel's cast for a while now and, on the page, he was an extradimensional being who repaired the Sorcerer Supreme's Cloak of Levitation after it was damaged in battle. Later, he'd serve as an apprentice to Strange, so the character is one with plenty of potential.

Even more intriguing is "Defender Strange." That's a very different look for Stephen, but is it reflective of what the hero goes through in this story or an interdimensional Variant, perhaps? We'll see, but that recent trailer description could shed some light on what might be going on here.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to be released on May 6, 2022.

@Cap1 - yeah. As someone who calls out sjw casting choices, people like him give us a bad name. It's not about women being in movies or starring in movies (those are all completely fine). It's when it's done purely to appeal to the woke crowd and talk down to the actual fans. The "oh you don't like how we replaced the Ghostbusters with women? You misogynist!" Idea.

You're telling me there is a possibility for the Defenders to appear? Doubt they'll introduce Silver Surfer and Namor in a Doctor Strange movie, but it sure would be cool

@bkmeijer - I want to see the Defender of the K'un-Lun defending the universe alongside Strange. So we will see the mystical side of Iron Fist.

Maybe after the "Shang chi 2"

Ohhhh really digging that look. Definitely based on his Defenders look from around 2011. Never thought we’d see that on film.

Strange’s main look has been updated too. He’s got the symbol on the robes now, aside from other minor changes.

I'm guessing that America Chavez will be another reason that Stephen Strange never had children. ; - )
