After I watched Thor yesterday, and newly falling in love with Loki in my Marvel reality, I decided to put a touch of my imagination into it.

I give you Aeorï Oheimgard, the Norse goddess of dreams and reality. I'm still working on her back-story to fit the Marvel universe. But I will give you these couple of tidbits about her.

Aeorï defied the throne after the Frost Giants were stripped of their power source (she was raised by Frost Giants). She then helped Loki bring in the Frost Giants into Asgard. When Loki fell after the destructing of the Bifrost, she returned to Jotunheim and had herself frozen in ice beside King Laufey's throne. She infused the ice with her power, putting a spell in which when Loki returns to power, the ice will break.

Aeorï's eyes are also horribly scarred due to the nature of her powers. She can see, but the fact that her left eye controls her dreams and her right eye controls reality is too dangerous to be fused together. She had to forge a special cloth to cover her eyes. Without the blindfold, the skin around her eyes are scarred and tattooed with blood. Her left eye is green and her right eye is blue.

She wields a scimitar-like sword and wears Asgardian armor, the armor being gold and the cloth being black.

Here's a (failed) picture of her.

The shading kinda sucks, I know. I attempted to make a distant perspective-ish thing on the weapon, but that failed...I'm very happy with the face and upper torso, though. And the hair. :D

Comments are welcome.

It is nice and everything, it's just...you cant really make up a Norse god. isnt this stuff centuries old?

@MikeKus34-- as much as the nit-picky geek in me wants to agree with you about making up Norse Gods, Neither the Enchantress nor Malaketh nor Kurse are actual mythological characters, and that's not even mentioning the Warriors Three.

@SpadesTheSparkly-- Nice concept (but again, nit-picking... In the script, I'm fairly certain it is made absolutely clear that Loki succeeds in destroying Jotunheim before the Bifrost is destroyed.)

Like I said, though, aside from that (which was unclear in the film, I'll admit), it's actually a pretty decent concept.

@Contrast - Those are all very good points. But having studied Norse mythology (all be it briefly) I can tell you that the gods are the characters of lore most focused upon, not the other mythical beings that are a "supporting cast" if you will. The Warriors Three, Enchantress, Kurse, and Malaketh are never designated a "god of (insert noun here)". They are simply mystical beings. Marvel has never (as far as I know) created their own new Norse gods, only played with the existing ones in new ways. So those more minor characters can be explained away as supporting cast (which they are) and not gods per say.

All that being said, I hope you werent offended. I really like the concept :) its just the fanboy blood in me that leads me to make such brash comments like I did. Sorry.

P.S. The drawing's not failed at all either, I particularly enjoy how you did the hair.

Great idea. Loki having a "lady assistant" is a great idea. Love both the backstory and pic.
