So we all pretty much know that Fant4stic was a flop. The smart thing to do would be to sell the rights back to Marvel, since Fox are practically losing money on this franchise. But we all know that they'll most likely not budge.
But these are the people I would cast as Marvel's First Family, if they ever came home:
Penn Badgely as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic
I feel that he bears a strong resemblance to Reed, and I feel that he would have no problem bringing Reed to life on the big screen.
Christian Cooke as Ben Grimm/The Thing
He was another actor on Fox's shortlist to play him, so I thought, why not give him a shot?
Emilia Clarke as Susan Storm/The Invisible Woman
She can already rock a blonde wig (which will probably be the only hair thing she'll wear. You know, so she isn't flip-flopping between actual hair and a noticeable blonde wig between scenes.) and I think she's a pretty good actress, and I'd be interested to see her take this role on.
Hunter Parrish as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch
You know, when I think about Johnny Storm from the comics, I can see Hunter nailing this. Not only that, but he just looks too much like Johnny to me.
And in addition to this First Family, here's one of their greatest foes:
Richard Madden as Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom
I can see him doing this. I really can. It would really be cool if this could happen.
So since Fox screwed the Fantastic Four up again, I don't think Marvel would take a chance on a Fantastic Four movie. The best bet would be to introduce them somewhere else as more of supporting characters more so than main characters. I remember hearing someone suggest that they appear on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as scientists (well, just Reed and Sue.). But I think that Marvel should bring back the One-Shots to do this. The origin of the F4 can be compressed to a One-Shot, right? It would explain everything, and then they could start popping up in places, maybe even have all 4 of the appear in Spider-Man's solo film so we can get this moment from the comics:
But those are just my thoughts. Let me hear yours!
