Ok I will admit I liked certain things about the second Ghost Rider film
1/ Nicholas Cage when playing Ghost Rider.
2/ Style of the film.
3/ The Effects.
Things I didn't like
1/the Story line.
2/ Nicholas Cage when he was being Johnny Blaze.
The Beauty of this story is there is no Johnny Blaze it's all Ghost Rider.
Story line
A demon by the name of Kazaan found a way to bring hell to the world. Ghost Rider has been trapped in hell for two years where every night, he rides from one of hell to the other towards the gates, should he ever reach them he will be free. However every single night, the worst demons in hell chase him to the gates and tear him apart, to be put back together in the morning and repeat the torment again. One night he meets an angel named Malachi. Malachi tells Ghost Rider that if he can stop Kazaan, he will be free from hell. Ghost Rider also has to beat an archangel named Ruth and a demon named Hoss to Kazaan. He eventually teams up with Hoss to beat Ruth. In the end, Kazaan is sent back to hell. Malachi tells Ghost Rider that he lied, and no one can ever truly escape the pit. Malachi is suddenly attacked; his wings being ripped off thereby made mortal by Ruth. Though the Ghost Rider succeeded in his mission, and cannot be set free from hell, he is told 'Ya gotta take your pleasure where ya can.' The Ghost Rider returns to his punishment of racing to the gates every night; however he now drags Malachi in chains behind his motorcycle to be forever tortured with him.
Ghost Rider - Nicholas Cage
Johnny Blaze is the alter ego of the Ghost Rider. Johnny is the first Ghost Rider and one of the most powerful beings on earth outside the cosmic beings and possibly the most powerful Ghost Rider ever.
I liked Cage when he was playing The Rider but not when he was being Johnny Blaze, the beauty of this story is its all Ghost rider no Blaze.
Ruth - Tilda Swinton
Ruth is a powerful archangel, the highest order of angels, and when the former angel turned demon Kazann started to manifest on Earth, Heaven noticed and Ruth was alerted. She is subsequently sent to Earth to catch Kazann and take to heaven for holy torture and interrogation.
Loved her in Constantine and chronicle of Narnia and she makes a killer angel.
Malachi - Ben Affleck
The brother of Kazann, while Kazann fell from grace and was banished from heaven Malachi was given a higher position of power in heaven. Secretly both Angels meet exchanging information with each other to improve their ranks.
I wanted to cast a double act for Malachi and Daniel and he was great as an angel in Dogma with Damon so let him play it again.
Daniel - Matt Damon
Daniel is an angel of heaven. Younger brother to fellow angel Malachi and younger brother to demon Kazann, Daniel appears much younger than his two older brothers. When one of his brothers, Kazann, makes his presence known on Earth, summoned by the CEO of Gustav Petroleum, Earl Gustav, it foretells of bad things to come, and as such Malachi arranges for Daniel to meet him on Earth.
Great with Affleck in several movies true it would basically be a cameo but let him play it.
Father Adam - Lance Reddick
In his army years he made a deal with the devil to get out of the battlefield alive and later became a priest. When Ghost Rider was released from out of Hell by the angel Malachi, the hellish forces contacted him in the middle of a mass through a fount of holy water. They demanded he take action, and to make sure he exercised discretion. Adam went downstairs a detonated the bomb under the church thus sacrificing his congregation. Later he travelled to Texas by train, where he knew Ghost Rider would be and the site of what would transpire to be a battle for Earth between angels and demons.
Love him in Fringe and would love to see him as a Killer Priest with Holy Bullets.
Kazann - Joe Manganiello
After a war in heaven, between Angels, the Angel Micah who had sided with the rebel angel Lucifer was cast down, as had all who sided with Lucifer against God, seeking to oppose the almighty. Micah no longer an angel instead a demon, discarded his angelic name and crowned himself as Kazann.
A great actor and would be great for the motion capture and in fallen angel form.
Gustav - Mark Addy
Gustav is quadriplegic and uses a wheelchair due to a car accident. In this car accident Gustav was drunk and hit against a school bus killing eight innocent children. He is the owner of Gustav Petroleum, this company made him rich, powerful and arrogant and after losing his mobility and confined to a wheelchair, he grows ever increasingly bitter and foul tempered.
This was harder to cast then most parts but I think he would be great true he would need to wear padding to make him look even bigger.
Jemima Catmint - Jaime Murray
Jemima Catmint was employed as a secretary by quadriplegic Earl Gustav CEO of Gustav Petroleum. Despite his rude and abrupt mannerisms and obsession with dark magic and rituals, she perceived him as fairly harmless. She was unaware that Gustav had used dark magic on his own to make contact with an ancient and powerful demon entity Kazann.
She’s sweet she's innocent but she looks as if she would push someone off a building to save the world.
Buttview - CGI
Hoss' human minion, transformed into a demon for Hoss' twisted amusement.
Hoss - John Goodman
Hoss became into a demon after he committed suicide. When he was a youngster, he had been caught in a highly embarrassing position by his parents. Shamed he went to his barn and shot himself dead. As a suicide he went to hell. He is a bounty hunter and scouter demon from Hell and also fought Ghost Rider to collect the bounty on rogue Demon Kazann.
I wanted a true American icon that could play the part with a bit of humour in there as well.
One-Above-All - Stan lee (Cameo)
The One-Above-All is the most powerful being in the Marvel Multiverse, and is said to be a representation of Stan Lee (the creator of Marvel) himself.
Who else would you want to see as the creator of the universe?
