The Red Hood

The Red Hood, Jason Todd the second Robin who died and resurfaced as the infamous assassin the Red Hood. After the first time I saw Batman Begins, I had begun to hope for the Red Hood's appearance in the Nolan trilogy. His character has such an interesting dynamic about his rage and how Batman thinks he can use Todd's rage as a tool to fight crime, but when he dies and becomes Red Hood it comes back to bite Batman in the neck. I had really hoped for Red Hood to show up in Chris Nolan's trilogy, however by the second film I began to think that he wouldn't work because they would have to introduce Robin, kill him and bring him back, and that would take far too much time to fit into the story. Also for Todd to be die and be resurrected would be way too non-realistic for the Nolan-Verse, however I think if done properly, the Red Hood could come into the next Batman reboot as a potential hit character. He would be one of the heroes in the story with some of the best character development, the Red Hood is definitely one of the things I want to see in the Batman reboot.
A Little More Gadgetry
Now, before we get into this I loved Nolan's trilogy, I thought it was a fresh new take on the Batman story.
I thought everyone from Bale to Ledger to Hathaway and even Hardy did a great job as our heroes and villains, however one thing I know that made many Batman fans upset was that Batman didn't use as many gadgets and smarts as he did in the comics. He didn't build the ones he did use either, that was Lucius Fox's job. I was ok with Batman not using as many gadgets, but I do know for a fact that one of Batman's greatest weapons was his mind, and that didn't come across as much as we would have liked it to. So to see Batman build and design his own gadgetry and implement them in battle would create a feeling that Batman is much more than a fighter in a cape, it would give the fans what they want as far as Batman being a total genius...
A Classic Batmobile
The Bat Mobile, Batman's most common vehicle of choice. Again I thought the Tumbler was perfect for Nolan's adaptation, but for a take on the more classic version of Batman, the Tumbler or anything close to it wouldn't work and would make fans angry. The classic version of the Batmobile or a different one that resembles it would definitely be the best choice for Batman's transportation, the old-school version of the Batmobile would bring a somewhat nostalgic feel to the story. It would add to Batman's genius ability if he built and designed it (that goes along with point number 2) so overall the classic Batmobile would be the best choice in the reboot, at least in my opinion.
The Penguin
The Penguin, abandoned by his parents and bullied because of his stature, Oswald Cobblepot became the gentlemanly villain The Penguin. With little physical abilities but much more wealth and power, he controls organized crime in Gotham City. If there was any villain that I thought deserved to be Nolanized but wasn't it was definitely the Penguin. I think the Penguin should be used as kind of a side character in the first film, you know one of the behind the scenes guys who calling a lot of the shots from behind a desk. Then make himself known to Batman in the second or third film, though I wanted him to become Nolanized I think it would definitely be a different version of the Penguin had he appeared in Nolan's trilogy. However I think that the reboot should be more reminiscent of the comic book stories.
The Riddler
The Riddler, the abused child who grew to become obsessed with puzzles and riddles. On the contrary to The Penguin, the Riddler was one of the villains that I hoped from the beginning would NEVER touch the Nolan trilogy. The Riddler is cool but I just don't think he would fit in Nolan's story, however that doesen't mean the Riddler shouldn't appear in the next version of the story. I think the Riddler would present a different kind of threat to the Caped Crusader, Bane obviously represents a physical threat, The Penguin represents an overall power and wealth threat, Catwoman or Poison Ivy represent a seductive threat, the Joker represents a pure insanity threat, but the Riddler would threaten Batman in the most dangerous way possible a mind threat. This would definitely showcase Bruce Wayne's brilliant mind if he could be shown to outsmart the Riddler.
That We Don't Retell Batman's Origin
Now I am absolutely sure that many of you will agree to disagree on this point, truth is Batman doesen't really need another origin story. His has already been told, why would we tell an origin story and then just reboot it again? Im pretty sure the public already knows who Batman is, and he could mention his parents dying to Alfred or a young Dick Grayson, or possibly show flashbacks. Again I am very sure that 99.9% of the general public at least knows who Batman is, it is unnecessary and it would take up very valuable screen time for them to retell Batman's origin story.
Nightwing
Nightwing, formerly known as Robin, the young orphan took in by Batman to become his boy wonder sidekick. Eventually graduating to the warrior known as Nightwing, a dark vigilante similar to Batman. As soon as I found out about Batman Begins a few years ago before it came out, the one thing I had hoped for the most was Nightwing. I wanted him to appear more than Red Hood or The Penguin. Nightwing would create an interesting story between Batman and his comrades, and is they go this way it would create jealousy among Batman's former comrades. Also Nightwing would appeal to the younger more rebellious crowd.
That John Blake Does NOT Become Batman
This is the most important one of all, for some reason I have been hit with this rumor of Joseph Gordon Levitt becoming the new Batman at least three times today. I have given it much thought and to tell the truth it seems like a very bad idea, for starters just IMAGINE the fanboy outrage that would follow after having a Batman film without Bruce Wayne. Dude I wouldn't wanna go see it just for fear of the riots, and why should John Blake become Batman? Nolan's story is finished. Just let it be finished, it was an awesome story but it's over now. Although I could see it if JGL starred In a Nightwing solo, though I doubt it will ever happen. Let's just start fresh with Batman, without any ties to Nolan. I loved Nolan's stories but this Is a different story, JGL should be absent from the reboot, period.
So, what would you like to see in the Batman reboot? Tell me your thoughts, voice your opinion but please voice it respectfully.
