This is how I think the crow reboot should go down….
First of all the movie has to take place in the 90s to capture the grunge scene’s darkness and angst.
The director should be Christopher Nolan.

My second choice would be Darren Aronofsky.
Eric Draven/The Crow- Eric was a man in love who lost his fiancee and his life to a gang of rapists in a random act of violence. On their way back from a romantic get-away, Eric's car breaks down on a deserted road. A car full of gang members stops not to help but to take advantage of the couple's misfortune. One of the most striking and powerful scenes in the book is of Eric lying incapacitated on the road struggling to hang on to life only to see his fiancee get raped and killed before his own life is extinguished. One of the killers rapes his fiancee after she is dead. He returns to the living world as the Crow, collecting artifacts of his love such as his engagement ring and exacting vengeance on the gang who killed his fiancee. Each of the men that were responsible for the death of his fiancee are killed in a different fashion, and the Crow shows varying amounts of sympathy (comicvine.com).
My first choice would be Joseph Gordon-Levitt. (his acting credits are (500) Days of Summer, inception, and Brick.) I think that JGL has the right look for Eric and is a phenomenal actor and looking at his performance in Brick I think he can portray the Crow incredibly well.

My second choice would be Jared Leto. (his acting credits are Requiem for a Dream, Fight Club, and American Psycho) Most people may know leto because he is the lead singer of the band, 30 Seconds to Mars, but he is a very very good actor as well and he can sing if they want to go into the musical aspect of Daven’s life a little more.

My third choice would be Jackson Rathbone. (His acting credits are the Twilight Series and The Last Airbender) I know I am going to get a lot of flak for this pick but he really is not that bad of an actor he has just been in bad movies with bad writers and directors. Given the right director and writers, rathbone can give a truly great performance.
Next Sarah Mohr- Sarah was a friend of Eric and Shelly and was given Shelly's engagement ring when Eric returns from the dead for revenge (comicvine.com).
To me the only choice for Sarah is Chloe Moretz. (Her acting credits are (500) Days of Summer and Kick-Ass) This girl at the age of 14 is becoming one of the better actresses in Hollywood today in my opinion and she has the right look for Sarah.
Next Sergeant Albrecht- A beat cop who confronts Eric outside Gideon's pawnshop (Wikipedia.org).
My choice would be Keith David. (his acting credits are Platoon, Requiem for a Dream, and Armageddon) David is great actor and I think he can play this role to perfection.
Top Dollar- LA crime boss who ordered the murder of Eric Draven and his fiancee Shelly Webster. He is The Crow's arch-enemy (comicvine.com).
I would love to cast mark Strong as Top Dollar because I believe he could be an unbelievable Top Dollar but I feel as though he is being overused as the villain in movies and in fancasts so I casted someone else.
My choice is Gary Oldman. (His acting credits are The Harry Potter series, The batman begins series, and the Book of Eli) Oldman is a phenomenal actor in my opinion and after watching The Book of Eli, I believe Oldman would be an amazing Top Dollar.
The rest of the cast, if used in the same capacity as the 1994 Crow movie, does not need to be big name actors and actresses.
