I had an Idea that, instead of rebooting the Indiana Jones Franchise, like Disney would probably do to get more profit. I thought about just doing a Indiana Jones film series, set in within the Original Trilogy, maybe some plot points that point to Crystal Skull but never go that far in the future. It would go with maybe 1 or 2 Movies set Before Temple of Doom, the next 1 film would be before Raiders, the next 1 or 2 would be before Last Crusade and then the rest would be set after and would last as long as it could go. That would allow for several types of "Smaller" trilogies set inside the original and it would explore the youth of Indiana Jones to a point. Not going to far into the future to avoid doing anything that ties in the Crystal Skull years.
So it would only be young Indiana Jones for as long as it could go on and once it would hit a certain point maybe a 12 or 13 movie series maybe then reboot, or T.V. Show for smaller or more character driven adventures. I'm gonna present a few ideas for possible artifacts and titles and crews for an Indiana Jones film series, but the idea would be as Movie 1 would be filming, movie 2 would be in pre-production and kinda do 3 back-to-back with 6 months off in between the movies for the actors, maybe releasing them 1 movie every year.
So I felt to do a different Director writing team to go while each film is filming, the other crew would be setting up the next film, and finishing pre-production up as the film is releasing and taking the 6 month break for the actors then filming. Maybe a year for Production on each film from Writing to Shooting to Editing to Release.
It might seem like an Odd idea. But Indiana Jones is a fun character and Overall I think this type of attention to him would be very much welcomed by fans and the results of such labor from so many parties would be absolutely astounding and successful! This could be the best Disney Franchise yet!

I think that to a point you have to get the right writers for the right artifact and the Spear of Destiny is more or less the "Rock Star" of Christian Artifacts, and it fits very well into the Indiana Jones World just because It was actually held by the Nazi's. Now I don't want this to be an adaptation of the Dark Horse comic. I would want to see what story these guys could come up with using the Spear of Longinus as a McGuffin and I think they would do wonderful and bring that sense of Fun they brought to Star Trek with them to use on Indiana Jones. I know he's not directing the other two sequels and I think he's very much approving of that. I believe that he would be a good director to bring into a sustained Indiana Jones Franchise. I think if the series was being built but was a few entry's in J.J. Would certainly improve on it. I think especially since he didn't jump start this franchise like Star Trek, he and his crew would know very well where to go with it and could do this job extremely well.

Kenneth Branagh [Notable Works: Hamlet, Thor, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit]: Kenneth has done exceptional work when it comes to action and character drama. No one can deny his take on Thor was about the only way to make the character that interesting to a wide Audience and I think Branagh has gotten better balancing character, story, and action. There's no doubt he would direct a fun, intellectual, and heartwarming and Shakespearian Indiana Jones.

James Gunn [Notable Works {As A Director}: Slither, Super, Guardians of the Galaxy]: There's no bones about it, Guardians is by far one of the Strongest first big budget feature films of any director's career. It is James Gunn's Star Wars in a way and I really find that to be wonderful. He has a mountain of potential and I think Indiana Jones is a great area for him to really hammer out what he's great at, and work on what needs improvement in his style of filmmaking, as well as his films themselves. It would be a love letter to the fans for Gunn to Helm Indiana Jones.

He's a great performer and his John Carter was a very Harrison Ford Like character. I think he really has that edge and rogue-ness that Ford had as Han Solo. I think if anyone would be well equipped to take the role, and bring it back to the younger side of things, Taylor is absolutely the guy. I know Marion is a younger character than Indy but she would do such a fantastic job in this role. I think this would be a match made in heaven. She has talent, she has a feisty side to her that is just perfect for Marion Ravenwood.
Jock Lindsey [Height: N/A, Age: 30's]: Jock Lindsey was an American freelance pilot. Lindsey cut his teeth as a stunt pilot performing in Midwest airshows and relocated to Venezuela after a rumored flight-related tragedy. David Tennant [Height: 6' 1", Age: 31, Notable Works: Doctor Who, Fright Night, How To Train Your Dragon]: I don't think anyone would ever want to say David is a terrible actor, and that's because he's quite fantastic. I think he enjoys a lot of lighter roles and I think this would be a wonderful and very freeing role for him. It's not as large or as demanding as something like Dr. Who but it's fun, its seeing an old friend every year or so and I think David has the right amount of Charm for the role.

He's an astounding actor and does such wonderful work. Cillian Murphy [Height: 5' 9", Age: 38, Notable Works: Inception, Batman Begins, Red Eye]: I know a lot of people kinda expect Oxly to be Older, but in truth, John Hurt isn't that much older than Ford, So i felt it was appropriate to use Cillian as a Young Oxly. I think Cillian has the looks and mannerisms of a young John Hurt and he's always fun to see onscreen. I doubt you could call it a bad move to bring this character in, as played by a great actor like Cillian. He's amazing.

Christian Bale [Height: 6' 0", Age: 40, Notable Works: The Dark Knight Trilogy, American Psycho, American Hustle]: I think that if there is an argument for him to play Belloq it lies simply in how fun and energetic his performances in American Hustle was. I think he would bring the perfect energy and the perfect amount of fun into the role without being too corny.
