Some people are born with the ability to roll their tongue or wiggle their ears. Others are born with the ability to fire blasts of energy from their eyes, control weather or heal incredibly fast. They are mutants; humans born with special abilities or powers above those of normal humans. Professor Charles Xavier is one such, a mutant with incredible telepathic powers. He has started a school to train young mutants in the proper use of their powers and help them be productive members of society. But society in general hates and fears mutants, a fact which is not helped by the more militant mutant Brotherhood led by Magneto, who wishes to eradicate humanity. For mutants, every day is a battlefield....
