My first fancast. A fancast for the 3rd film in the Homecoming trilogy featuring returning actors from the first two films and the introduction of new fan favorite characters.

Spider-Man Homecoming 3 fancast and plot outline

(I know I skipped the sequel but I wanted a bit more time to do a "less connected" storyline

Plot Outline:

Focuses on Peter's graduation and acceptance to college. We see him adapting to college life =in the latter 1/2 where he meets Harry, aand begins working at the Daily Bugle.

The majority of the high school cast is not seen post graduation.

Peter is accepted to and later attends NYU after being accepted to a number of schools hinting at different Avengers teams. Harry is introduced as a classmate and introduces him to his Father. Parker still lives at home with Aunt May allowing her to appear in the film. At the end of the film he gets his own apartment with Harry and is introduced to their new neighbor MJ.

The main villain is Mysterio. The film also introduces both Osbornes and features Black Cat (sorry Sony)

Director: Gareth Evans

Known for: The Raid series

Evans knows action and would work well to produce dynamic but semi realistic action and would handle the story line well.

Writer: Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeeley

Known for: CA TWS, Avengers Infinity War

Markus and McFeeley are staple Marvel writers who have proven to do well in the genre

Year released: 2020

Returning:

Age at filming/release: 23/24

In universe age: 18/19

Parker would be dealing with graduating Highschool, selecting a college, and continuing as an older Spider-Man. He works as a freelance photographer at the Daily Bugle and is studying Micro-biology and Physics at NYU.

Marisa Tomei - Aunt May

Age at filming/release: 56/57

In universe age: 56/57

May will be helping Peter and providing guidance for him along the way. She does not know he is Spider-Man (depends on previous films)

Angourney Rice - Gwen Stacy

Age at filming/release: 19/20

In universe age: 18/19

As Homecoming has yet to come out, this is just speculation on my part. She would be dating Peter throughout the film, bring into conflict his relationship (as Spider-Man) with Black Cat. She wouldn't be killed in this film series. The relationship will continue into the 4th film, creating additional conflict with Peter and MJ.

EDIT: Seemilgly confirmed to actually be Gwen https://www.comicbookmovie.com/spider-man/homecoming/spoilers-angourie-rices-spider-man-homecoming-role-seemingly-revealed-a150299

Zendaya - Michelle ??

Age at filming/release: 23/24

In universe age: 18/19

Michelle continues her arc from the first two films and leaves to attend college after graduation.

Laura Harrier - Liz Allen
Age at filming/release: 29/30
In universe age: 18/19

Liz continues her arc from the first two films and leaves to attend college after graduation. She works at the Daily Bugle as an intern throughout College, and will become friends with Betty Brandt in future films.

Jacob Batalon - Ned Leeds

Age at filming/release: 23/24

In universe age: 18/19

Peter's continuing best friend. Ned heads to college on the West Coast promting Peter to want to go there as well. Peter has to choose between friendship and helping to protect May and NYC.

New Cast

Diego Boneta- Harry Osborne
Age at filming/release: 29/30
In universe age: 18/19
Known for: Pretty Little Liars, Rock of Ages, Scream Queens

This is also a departure form the "classic" Harry. A classmate at NYU who introduces Peter to his father. Their friendship will provide a balance for Peter in the latter half of the film as well as serve to introduce Harry for continuing films.

Oscar Isaac- Norman Osborne

Age at filming/release: 40/41

In universe age: 40/41

Known for: Star Wars: X:Men Apocalypse, The Force Awakens, Inside Llewin Davis

This is one of my "out there" casts. Isaac was phenominal in Inside Llewin Davis but wasn't that great as Apolalypse, He needs redemption and it would be interesting to see him play a more morally gray character. In the film there will be no hints at the Goblin program. Osborne will primarialy exist as a rival business owner to Stark, Rand, AIM, and Roxxon. They'rr have different subsidiaries in Defense and Energy production.

Zoey Deutch - Mary Jane Watson

Age at filming/release: 25/26

In universe age: 18/19

Known for: Before I Fall, Why Him?, Dirty Grandpa.

Zoey is a great actress who has shown range doing both comedy and drama. I wanted to stay away from a traditional fancast, and just slightly skirt "model" territory.  She is introduced as Peter and Harry's neighbor and drops the "Face it Tiger..." line to Peter and the film ends.

Alexandra Daddario- Felicia Hardy/Black Cat
Age at filming/release: 33/34
In universe age: ??
Known for: Baywatch, Percy Jackson films

We would only meet Black Cat in her superhero persona and would not see her as Felicia. There would be an air of mystery around her and would provide a romantic partner for Spider-Man. She would be treated as around 10 years older than Peter although her age would never be confirmed.

Lin Manuel Miranda- Quentin Beck/Mysterio
Age at filming/release: 39/40
In universe age: Unknown
Known for: Moana, Hamilton

In a hint to Beck's and Miranda's histories, as well as Spider-Man Turn off the Dark, he will have been a star on Broadway before turning to a life of crime. He will build his own tech after a sting of robberies at Oscorp, Stark Tower, and various Broadway locals. Despite the Broadway stardom, Mysterio will not sing.

Bryan Cranston- J. Jonah Jameson
Age at filming/release: 63/64
In universe age: 63/64
Known for: Breaking Bad, Power Rangers

Cranston would channel some of his inner Walter White for the role. He would also serve as a mentor for Parker.
