Star Trek The Next Generation Fan Cast

Captain Jean-Luc Picard [Height: 5' 10", Age: 50's-60's]: Jean-Luc Picard was a celebrated Starfleet officer, archaeologist and diplomat who served during the latter half of the 24th century. The highlights of his career were centered around assignments as commanding officer of the Federation starships: USS Stargazer, USS Enterprise-D, and the USS Enterprise-E. In these roles, Picard not only witnessed the major turning points of recent galactic history, but played a key role in them also, from making First Contact as captain of the Federation's flagship with no fewer than 27 alien species.

Christopher Lambert [Height: 5' 11", Age: 56, Notable Works: Highlander, Mortal Kombat]: A legendary actor, born in New York to French parents, and raised in france, he became the instant choice to portray Captain Jean-Luc Picard, not only because he is nationally closer with thick French Herritage, but because he is an amazing actor who could definitely take the gravitas of the character and create a unique, fresh, and true take on the role.

First Officer Commander William Riker [Height: 6' 4", Age: 30's]: William Thomas Riker was a noted Starfleet officer, perhaps best known for his long assignment as first officer under Captain Jean-Luc Picard aboard the USS Enterprise-D, and later the USS Enterprise-E.

Joel Edgerton [Height: 5' 11", Age: 38, Notable Works: Warrior, The Thing]: Joe is a wonderful actor who could no doubt get into character with an ease. He'd really get the sense of the character, despite being much smaller then Jonathan Frakes.

Chief Medical Officer Doctor Beverly Crusher [Height: 5' 8", Age: 40's]: Commander Beverly Cheryl Crusher, MD, (née Howard) was the chief medical officer aboard the USS Enterprise-D and its successor, the USS Enterprise-E, both under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard. She briefly left her post as CMO of the Enterprise-D to become head of Starfleet Medical, only to return shortly after.

Amy Adams [Height: 5' 4", Age: 38, Notable Works: The Fighter, Man Of Steel]: She was honestly my first choice, i think it would be a nice role for her to develop into her own, while not quite the legend of Lana Lang, Dr. Crusher is still a strong and notable character in her own right.

Counselor Deanna Troi [Height: 5' 5", Age: 30's]: Deanna Troi was a half-Betazoid, half-Human Starfleet officer. Under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard, she served as ship's counselor aboard the USS Enterprise-D and the USS Enterprise-E.

Noomi Rapace [Height: 5' 4", Age: 33, Notable Works: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Prometheus]: A beautiful and intelligent actress who is no doubt someone who could harness the talent and sophistication of the character, while playing off the idea she is in control.

Chief Engineer Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge [Height: 5 '7", Age: 20's-30's]: Geordi La Forge held the rank of lieutenant commander and was the chief engineer of the USS Enterprise-D and USS Enterprise-E, both under Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

Lee Thompson Young [Height: 5' 8", Age: 29, Notable Works: Smallville {T.V. Series, Certain Episodes}, Friday Night Lights]: A wonderful young actor, one of the few gems from Smallville's reign on T.V. He's an actor witch some talent, and also not very well known, it allows him a certain ease to prepare for the role. I believe he would do wonders.

Chief Security Officer Lt. Natasha Yar [Height: 5' 8", Age: 20's]: Lieutenant Natasha Yar, better known as Tasha, was a Human Starfleet officer born on Turkana IV, and former security chief on the USS Enterprise-D. Unfortunately, Tasha was killed not even a year into the Enterprise's mission. She was fondly remembered by the Enterprise crew.

Malin Akerman [Height: 5' 7", Age: 35, Notable Works: Watchmen, The Circle]: Not gonna lie, her performance in Watchmen is the soul reason I feel she could tackle this role well. She played her part extremely well in the film, and if she could bring aboard that same dedication to Yar, she'd be memorable.

Security Officer Lt. Commander Worf [Height: 6' 5", Age: 30's]: Worf – son of Mogh, of the Klingon House of Martok, of the Human family Rozhenko; mate to K'Ehleyr, father to Alexander Rozhenko, and husband to Jadzia Dax; Starfleet officer and soldier of the Empire; bane of the House of Duras; slayer of Gowron; Federation ambassador to Qo'noS.

Quinton Jackson [Height: 6' 1", Age: 34, Notable Works: A-Team, Never Surrender]: I maintain he's a good actor. He's got heart, and he's got talent. He's a trained fighter, which i think would be his instant connection to the character. I'm not gonna lie and say he'd do a Shakespearian take on it, but he would do an honorable take on the character.

Transporter Chief Miles O'Brien [Height: 5' 11", Age: 40's]: Miles Edward O'Brien was a 24th century Human Starfleet non-commissioned officer who, following his service during the Federation-Cardassian War, served as transporter chief on board the USS Enterprise-D

Michael C. Hall [Height: 5' 10", Age: 42, Notable Works: Dexter {T.V. Series}, Gamer]: A wonderful actor, who could really take this bit, guest role and could do a wonderful job adapting the character to a Star Trek The Next Generation Film.

Lt. Commander Data [Height: 5' 11", Age: Unknown]: Lieutenant Commander Data was a Soong-type android, the first and only such being to ever enter Starfleet. Data was created some time in the 2330s.

Michael Fassbender [Height: 6', Age: 36, Notable Works: X-Men First Class, Prometheus]: His take on David, the android from Prometheus, is by far the most interesting part of the film. It's clear that it seems I am typecasting, and simply i can't argue otherwise, I believe Fassbender would have a wonderful and unique take, while Spiner did Data with Child-like innocence, Fassbender's Data would be very Unique.

Ensign Lt. Junior Grade Wesley Crusher [Height: 5' 11", Age: Late Teens]: Lieutenant junior grade Wesley Robert Crusher was the gifted son of Starfleet officers Lieutenant Commander Jack Crusher and Doctor Beverly Crusher. After several years aboard the USS Enterprise-D and three years at Starfleet Academy.

Dane Dehaan [Height: 5' 7", Age: 27, Notable Works: Chronicle, Lawless]: He is a great actor who I think could mix The intelligence of the character an add a spice that was largely hinted to in the series.

Q [Height: 6' 4" {Human Form}, Age: Unknown]: Q was a highly powerful entity from a race of omnipotent, godlike beings also known as the Q.

Tom Hiddelston [Height: 6' 2", Age: 32, Notable Works: Thor, Avenger]: Honestly his performance as Loki, he pretty much did a perfect rendition of a much more sinister and theatrically fullfilling Q.

Grand Nagus Zek [Height: 5' 2", Age: Unknown]: Zek was the Grand Nagus of the Ferengi Alliance throughout most of the 24th century.

Tony Shalhoub [Height: 5' 10", Age: 59, Notable Works: Men In Black, Galaxy Quest]: A wonderful actor, I knew i wanted to have Shalhoub as a Ferengi. He's a wonderful actor who would really be a fun and interesting addition to the Star Trek Films.

Letek [Height: 5' 6", Age: Unknown]: {Very Different from the the TNG Series version} Letek is the right hand man to the Grand Nagus Zek.

Jackie Earle Haley [Height: 5' 5", Age: 51, Notable Works: Little Children, Watchmen]: I love casting jackie in roles, he a very flexible and versatile actor who could not doubt play this role and inject some fun on set and in character.

DaiMon Bok [Height: 5' 4", Age: Unknown]: Bok was a Ferengi DaiMon in the early 2360s. His only son was killed in the Battle of Maxia when his ship was destroyed by the USS Stargazer, under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

Peter Dinklage [Height: 4' 5", Age: 44, Notable Works: Underdog, Games of Thrones {T.V. Series}]: A truely formidable actor who could bring a level of intensity his work on Games of Thrones is a true testimonial to how much he could bring to Star Trek.

Chancellor K'Mpec [Height: 6' 1" {Estimated}, Age: Unknown]: K'mpec was the longest serving Klingon Chancellor of the Klingon High Council when he died in 2367. Although K'mpec ruled with an iron hand and managed to keep peace within the Klingon Empire.

Ray Winstone [Height: 5' 10", Age: 55, Notable Works: The Departed, The Sweeney]: n amazing actor by any standards from which can be brought up. You need an actor like Ray who is able to get inside the mind of his character and bring them to life.

Gowron [Height: 5' 10", Age: Unknown]: Gowron was a political outsider on the Klingon High Council, who often challenged their decisions. After the death of Chancellor K'mpec, Gowron and Duras, son of Ja'rod became the two leading candidates for leadership of the council.

Ray Stevenson [Height: 6' 4", Age: 49, Notable Works: Punisher War Zone, G.I. Joe Retaliation]: A wonderful actor who can play an intimidating physical force to anyone. I chose Ray because he has played a monster before, once in G.I. Joe and once again in Dexter, in both cases he became a very different type of physical beast. Having him as Gowron is having him play a truly physical force.

Kurn [Height: 6' 5", Age: 30's]: Kurn was a Klingon warrior, the son of Mogh, and Worf's younger brother. His true family name was kept secret until 2366, when Mogh was accused of being a traitor during the Khitomer Massacre. Kurn later supported Gowron during the Klingon Civil War, and afterwards gained a seat on the Klingon High Council.

Chiwetel Eijofor [Height: 5' 10", Age: 35, Notable Works: Salt, Serenity]: I love him as an actor. With the type of Worf this series would have, you'd need a Kurn who would be efficiently different, one who seemed more tragic then Worf and who could play a more intimidating with a more Klingon-strict view.

Borg Queen [Height: Variable, Age: Unknown]: The Borg Queen was the name given to the entity that existed within and served as a central nexus for the Borg Collective.

Tilda Swinton [Height: 5' 11", Age: 52, Notable Works: Constantine, Moonrise Kingdom]: A wonderful actress, her looks and demeanor onscreen is why i cast her as the Borg Queen. I think she is simply perfect, born to play the Borg Queen. She has the look and presence to really perfect the role.

Producers: A film producer oversees and delivers a film project to the film studio or other financing entity, while preserving the integrity, voice and vision of the film. They will also often take on some financial risk by using their own money, especially during the pre-production period, before a film is fully financed. Many film producers also have competency in other fields (directors, screenwriters, actors) but that is not always the case. The producer is often actively involved throughout all major phases of the filmmaking process, from inception and development to completion and delivery of a film project. However, an idea or concept for a film can originate with any individual, including a screenwriter, a director or a producer.

Roberto Orci, Damond Lindloff, & Alex Kurtzman [Notable Works: Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness]: Obviously they have a handle on Star Trek So far. With two blockbusters under their belt allowing them to produce a third and letting a new cast and crew take over would allow them to set back and let star trek to grow and develope more so as a franchise standing on it's own without Kirk or Spock.

Executive Producer: A film producer oversees and delivers a film project to the film studio or other financing entity, while preserving the integrity, voice and vision of the film.

J.J. Abrams [Notable Works: Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness]: While he's on route to being the 4th man to direct a Star Wars Film{and hopefully not the 2nd man to f*** it u} I think it would be a great transition from Directing and do something to allow the star trek franchise to continue to grow and expand.

Composer: A film score (also sometimes called background music or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film. The score forms part of the film's soundtrack, which also usually includes dialogue and sound effects, and comprises a number of orchestral, instrumental or choral pieces called cues which are timed to begin and end at specific points during the film in order to enhance the dramatic narrative and the emotional impact of the scene in question. Scores are written by one or more composers, under the guidance of the film's director and/or producer, and are then usually performed by an ensemble of musicians – most often comprising an orchestra or band, instrumental soloists, and choir or vocalists – and recorded by a sound engineer.

Patrick Doyle [Notable Works: Thor, Rise of the Planet of the Apes]: A wonderful composer the scopes the grandeur of big scale sci-fi/fantasy and deep character pieces. Both important for creating a next generation of Star Trek score.

Director: Directors are responsible for overseeing creative aspects of a film under the overall control of the film producer. They often develop the vision for a film and carry out the vision, deciding how the film should look, in other words they make their vision come to life. They are responsible for turning the script into a sequence of shots. They also direct what tone it should have and what an audience should gain from the cinematic experience. Film directors are responsible for deciding camera angles, lens effects and lighting with the help of the cinematographer and set design with the production designer. They will often take part in hiring the cast and key crew members. They coordinate the actors' moves, or blocking and also may be involved in the writing, financing and editing of a film.

Brad Bird [Notable Works: The Incredibles, Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocal]: A wonderful director who can balance fun action and deep hearted sci-fi with intelligent and well thought out political views. Brad is a great director and would really take the Star Trek series to a place it's never been before.

Screenwriter: Screenwriters are responsible for researching the story, developing the narrative, writing the screenplay, and delivering it, in the required format, to Development Executives. Screenwriters therefore have great influence over the creative direction and emotional impact of the screenplay and, arguably, of the finished film. They either pitch original ideas to Producers in the hope that they will be optioned or sold, or screenwriters are commissioned by a producer to create a screenplay from a concept, true story, existing screen work or literary work, such as a novel, poem, play, comic book or short story.

Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver [Notable Works: Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes]: The entire reason i chose them is because of their ability to create an enjoyable coherent film while doing an amazing and very well developed character study. If anyone can harness and really bring to light the political stories that made Star Trek such a phenomenal franchise.

This concludes My take on a Star Trek Next Generation Reboot based Trilogy.

Awesome cast, dude! My favorite picks have to be Fassbender as Data, Rapace as Troi, and Akerman as Natasha Yar. I have my doubts about Quinton Jackson as Worf, but otherwise, Great cast!!

Haven't invested into TNG, but I'll work with what I have.

- Christopher Lambert as Jean-Luc, huh? Something tells me this guy is your pick for Professor X if you do another fancast with the character.
- It'd be nice to see Amy Adams try something cool like Beverly Crusher.
- Somehow I see Morena Baccarin in the role of Deanna Troi. She just looks like Marina Sirtis. Sure, it might be close to Inara, but she's just as good as Noomi Rapace.
- Rampage sounds too ghetto for Worf. How about... Mike Colter (Malcolm Ward in The Ringer). I hear him talk and he sounds like he could nail all of Michael Dorn's inflections. Plus he's 6'3".
- Very original role for Hall. I think he could try a great role where he's not a villain.
- If you wanted to avoid typecasting for Data, how about Benedict Cumberbach? Sure, he doesn't look close to Brent Spiner like Fassbender, but he's equally talented as [frick]. But I'm sure you're aware of that already.
- Dane DeHaan is good enough to play good guys for a change (which he did in Lawless.
- Guess you cast Shaloub as Grand Nagus Zek because of Men in Black, right? Well, he works good with makeup, so why argue?
- Whoa, Haley and Letek look disturbingly familiar. I give you a cheers.
- Whoa, Ray Stevenson is in Dexter. Looks like I better speed through the discs in Netflix and catch him. I'm currently on season 6.
- Ah, Ejiofor! He finally graces your fancasts for the first time. Good role, although he's a little short.
- JJ Abrams and co should give The Next Generation a wonderful update!

You deliver once again. I'm gonna have an Uncanny X-Men: Days of Future Past fancast, which will hopefully top the shitpile that Bryan Singer will bring (unless he can bring the magic from the first two X-Men films).

Great cast, man!
I think it is really well done, and has some fantastic performers. Amy and Joel are spot-on for their chosen roles. Tilda is also. This is very well done, great work.

I love all of your choices, even though I envisioned someone else for Data. Fassenbender has already played an android, so it's a little redundant. My pick was Elijah Wood. Christopher Lambert though, excellent idea, why didn't I think of that?

And this is just my opinion, but J.J. Abrams is not who I would have reboot TNG. I love TNG to death, I've seen every episode and I love every movie, even Nemesis. Nemesis was freaking epic. I'm giddy to collect the whole Blu-Ray collection. Having said all that, I would love to see TNG be rebooted with the energy of J.J. Abrams, but without Abrams himself. Abrams' storytelling and direction style just doesn't fit TNG. TNG needs to be mysterious and cerebral. It's hard sci-fi. It needs to be a little more Watchmen-esque, and a lot less Avengers. Does that make any sense? Lol

@Christuffer, Yeah i get ya' I'd have him on as a producer and nothing else. Brad Bird should direct TNG.
