FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

Directed by Josh Trank, The Fantastic Four reboot stars Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Michael B. Jordan as the Human Torch, Kate Mara as Invisible Woman, and Jamie Bell as the Thing. The film is scheduled for release on August 7, 2015.

This film just seems like a sci fi film about discovery that USES the Fantastic Four characters and mythology as tools to attract an audience. The sci fi elements and overall science seem to outweigh the F4 elements for some reason. It doesn't look like an F4 film should. The fantastical elements seem lost and have been replaced by, imo, elements of lite horror and run of the mill scientific discovery movie tropes. I liked chronicle but what's been said about Trank and this film and him being fired from disney, scares me

@Comicsbornandbred, I think you are mistaken. This is a Fox film. Disney has very little input if any.

I'm curious what Boxoffice.com is going to predict for this movie. It should come out this week. I'm hopeful it will be good, but I have my doubts. I want it to be good, but I also want the rights to revert to Marvel, so they can use some of the characters, like Dr Doom, Galactus, Silver Surfer, etc.

Cant wait for Fantastic Four I think it will be good Sue and The Thing look great. It would be cool if some of the movie is set on another planet like the trailer suggests. Would be great to see Galactus done right and Silver Surfer appear again. Looking forward to seeing how this universe developes

So, one of Reed's books is about molecular structure. Likely that the suits are gonna be of his design.

Another one is titled Cosmic Dawn. Looks like he's definitely interested in the cosmos and space and all that shiznit.

At least he's not just a kid with a knack for cracking inter-dimensional travel.

@Jeight

Her family owns the Giants and a team in which has a rapist as a starting QB.

But I don't hate them because he's a rapist, moreso the team that rapist QBs.

@SpideyQuad Trank was apparently fired from disney and the star wars spinoff because of his work on this film. Apparently, fox didn't like what he did for F4

Finally saw the trailer on the big screen and it made me even less interested in seeing this. We've seen the F4 over and over again what I WANT to see if freakin Galactus. Im sick and tired of seeing how they got their powers, I already know that part! Give me something new.
