Could We See "Doombots" In FANTASTIC FOUR?

We recently learned that British actor Toby Kebbell would (most likely) play Victor von Doom in Josh Trank's upcoming Fantastic Four reboot, and now Nerdist report that the villain will have some help battling Marvel's first family..

Nerdist reckons Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot will see Toby Kebbell's Doctor Doom build himself a bit of help to take on Mr. F, Thing, Torch and Invisible Woman. In their latest edition of Nerdist News, the site report that "Doombots will definitely be in the film, in the form of drones that the good doctor controls telekinetically."  Here's the vid.


Even if you're not a reader of Fantastic Four comics, it should be fairly obvious what Doombots are: robot version of Doctor Doom! They began as exact replicas of the villain in the early issues, but have taken various forms over the years so who knows how they'll be depicted in the movie. We'll have to take this as a rumor for now of course, but it makes sense that Doom would need some help going up against the FF, and it gives The Thing something to clobber too. What do you think?

Did you not see the last 2 F4 movies that didn't have a single Doombot in either of them even though both movies featured Dr. Doom in them?

I still argue that, Doctor Doom is the greatest super villain ever (although not my favorite). That being said, I'm really digging the Josh Trank version of, The Fantastic Four. You have a great director, a decent writer and a pretty good cast. More of a Sci-Fi movie than the previous films and we'll possibly be getting, Doombots. That'll draw comparison to Ultron's army in Age of Ultron but, who cares? I am for the time being in the belief that this movie is going to kick ass.

I was wondering what ever happened to Jessica Chobot, she's still fine. As far as Doom Bots go, as long as Dr. Doom is ruthless I'll be a a happy camper.

I think Doom's telekinetic control over the bots would be pretty interesting. In Iron Man 1 we didn't see drones flying everywhere so it's highly possible these could be prototypes of what will be tweaked later.

This would be great. Sounds like we are getting a definitive Doctor Doom. Now, all we need is for him to be a dangerous despot and ruler of Latveria who dabbles in the dark arts and fringe science.

I hope this film is sci fit heavy and deals a lot with fringe science. It probably will take from the ultimate version a little bit. I'd love to see the F4 being considered as weapons by the government or a think tank but they just want to be on their own.

Well that could be great to see. I personally wish that Dr. Doom wasn't the villain for this movie. Have him being the villain but working from behind the scenes I would have preferred more. But Dr. Doom is one of my favorite villains. So hopefully he is given Justice this time around. I just am saddened I will never see a fight between Dr. Doom and Hulk. I loved those two going at it in the comics.

Doombots in a movie made by Dumbots?

The casting has killed any interest in paying to see this movie regardless what expense they put into its onscreen spectacle. My only intrigue remains to see how badly it flops if it does.

The hype of this movie is building to unrealistic standards. Too many rumors and bullshit floating around.

Does anybody actually want this movie to happen?

Fantastic Four is my favorite comic and I am in no way interested in seeing this movie.

They need to make Dr. Doom the real villain that he is. He is arguably Marvels greatest villain and the movies have made him a pantywaist.
