Who's lined up is uncertain but apparently it wont be with the same star who played the super-powered little guy in the last movie which was 2008's Asterix at the Olympic Games. By the looks of it, Edouard Baer is to star as Asterix so says his agent thats saying “more than probable” that the actor has the role.

On board is Laurent Tirard as director and has co-wrote the comic book movie script with Gregoire Vigneron.

LEEE777 - I've got Asterix and Obelix: Meet Cleopatra on DVD and its quite some harmless enjoyable fun with a certain actress that played Cleopatra (Monica Bellucci). Fingers crossed Gérard Depardieu comes back as Obelix as I can't see anyone else playing that part unless of course its a complete reboot, then he probably will be recast.
