As you may have heard, Jason Aaron, Mahmud Asrar, and Esad Ribic are bringing Conan back to Marvel next January in Conan the Barbarian #1. To celebrate that, Marvel Comics is releasing a series of variant covers showcasing the sword-slashing hero with a series of variants showcasing Conan facing off against some of Marvel's most important heroes...and villains!

There's going to be twenty in total but we have the first seven for you below and these feature characters like Spider-Man, Captain America, the Fantastic Four, and The Immortal Hulk.

I haven't been keeping too up to date with this new series from Marvel but I'm assuming that Conan won't actually be part of the Marvel Universe proper, teaming up with the likes of the heroes mentioned above! We'll have to wait and see but it's fair to say these variants feature some crossovers none of us expected to see.

To check out these covers, all you guys have to do is click on the "View List" button down below.

Is this supposed to be a fun take on Kraven's Last Hunt? If so, it certainly works and it would be a lot of fun seeing the legendary warrior go to war with one of Spidey's most formidable foes.

Like Wolverine vs. The Hulk, this would be one helluva battle but seeing as Conan doesn't have a healing factor, I'm pretty sure the Green Goliath would ultimately end up emerging victorious here.

Conan is definitely outmatched here but if anyone could help introduce him to the modern world, it would have to be this group of Imaginauts! With any luck, this meeting will take place one day.

Conan vs. The Lizard? Yes, please! What's really interesting above this cover, though, is whether or not it means Peter Parker's version of the Lizard will return to plague Spider-Gwen/Ghost Spider.

Captain America is a man out of time, so it's only fitting that he go head to head with Conan! His shield would no doubt come in handy against that sword but who would be the better fighter?

Another crazy crossover I think it's fair to say none of us knew we needed, Conan going head to head with the villainous Ultron would definitely put the iconic hero outside of his comfort zone.

What's really cool about Conan the Barbarian being back at Marvel is the fact that the company will no doubt find some cool ways to tie his mythology into that of the main Marvel Universe. We'll see...

Conan vs. Hulk is definitely the most fitting.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Here's my question... is Marvel planning something beyond caped superheroes... they own many comic properties beyond colorful superheroes... this comic proves that... what if they have been hush hush on Phase 4 because they plan on expanding beyond caped superheroes... but all of those new characters will still be within the same MCU...

The Eternals are similar to this right... age old characters that form the very myths that our history is based on?

Will we see Conan alongside Captain Marvel at some point?

Is it coming as soon as Phase 4?

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Actually, Conan vs. Thor probably makes the most sense. After all, Conan has fought & defeated gods before within his own mythos.

You'd think Conan would be considered too "masculine" for Marvel.

Marvel Comics can barely handle their own characters, now they have to share their (already few) worth a f*ck writers for others IPs like Star Wars and now Conan and tomorrow...who the f*ck knows... :/

WTH most of all those characters could tear him a new one.
But I would read Conan & The Punisher: Road Trip Team Up.

@Matador - he'd probably kick Captain America's tail, tbh. Conan is used to fighting super-strong, super-fast creatures, and both characters are in peak physical shape. That's the 616 Captain America, now... the Ultimate version is superhuman so all bets are off there.
