Seth Rogan attended Observe and Report's press day for Warner Brothers, and sat down for this interview.

Regarding a start date for the film...

“The end of June, right now, is our tentative start date.”

Regarding Steven Chow’s involvement. He was previously signed on as director and co-star Kato, he's since dropped out as director. Is he still on for Kato?

“He may be Kato. I’m not 100% sure that that’s the case, but it is very likely a possibility. I’m not sure. Honestly, we’re kind of in the very early phases right now, just kind of putting those elements in place. I’m just being honest. I honestly don’t know.”

On the subject of a Lone Ranger cameo in the film.

“He’s actually the Lone Ranger’s grand-nephew. But the Lone Ranger is owned by Jerry Bruckheimer, so that probably limits the amount of involvement that he can actually have in that movie.”

Regarding the casting of other characters.

“No. We’ve kind of begun like the very...we don’t even have like a finished script right now, really. We’re kind of in the middle of re-writing (it).”

Like Rogan or not on this project, he is in the middle of it all. Hopefully we get a new acting style from Seth and the Director stays out of the corn bushes for the Green Hornet.

seems as if Stephen Chow will start to hold a grudge against Hollywood, first the DBE fiasco, and now the Green Hornet....

Maybe he'll end up just as bitter as Alan Moore.

The Green Hornet originated on the same radio station as the Lone Ranger. So as a neat little tie-in, they made them relatives.

@NoobMike - Epic Win on that avatar! That is hilarious!

Falcon - I get that the Ranger and Hornet originated on the same radio station, WTF does that have to do with the story (aside from a 'tip-o-the-hat' to history buffs)? Again, my prediction:

EPIC FAIL!!!!!!

Goes to show you that some people don't know their Green Hornet History. Alright, guys Let go to Green Hornet 101.
The Lone Ranger is a decendent of the Green Hornet. The Lone Ranger is the the Great uncle X 4 of the Green Hornet. This just told me how much you guys read comics or pay attention while reading comics. Don't just go through the motions...the comics & the movies, or T.V shows. READ the comics. That's where the true history is. To me, Seth, though he is a kool guy, is the farthest image of the hero that I can think of. They shouldn't have picked him for the role, at all!

SWANN - just goes to show how much YOU know... there was NEVER any mention of the Lone Ranger being the great uncle (x4 or whatever) of the Green Hornet in the ORIGINAL radio serial - that was just contrived as a 'tip-o-the-hat' by the comic book to acknowledge that BOTH serials originated from the same radio station! The original radio serial is where the TRUE history lies, everything else is BASED upon THAT foundation! At least we can agree that Seth Rogan is NO Green Hornet!

It makes me extremely happy to see alot of people putting this movie down already. Last time I saw a post about this movie everybody was high on Seth Rogen as if he was gods gift to comedy on what should be an action movie. [frick] YOU SETH ROGEN.

Colt - I read your link... how does that make me wrong? It doesn't say anything about the Lone Ranger being the Green Hornet's great uncle in the original radio series!
