Over the weekend, we got our first look at the Guardians of the Galaxy video game heading our way from Square Enix. As per usual, the designs for these characters has divided fans, though a pre-order bonus will mean that the team can be decked out in their classic gear from the comic books!
We'll actually get to take a much closer look at those redesigned costumes and more in an upcoming "Art of" book that's been announced by Marvel for release on November 2, later this year.
Joining that is a prequel novel titled Guardians of the Galaxy: No Guts, No Glory, written by M.K. England, the acclaimed author of The Disasters. No details have been revealed about that yet, but we're obviously expecting it to flesh out these characters and set the stage for the events of the game.
"Fire up Star-Lord’s jet boots for a wild ride across the cosmos in this third-person action-adventure game, a fresh take on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy," reads the synopsis. "With the unpredictable Guardians at your side, blast your way from one explosive situation to another, with original and iconic Marvel characters caught in a struggle for the fate of the universe. You got this. Probably."
Guardians of the Galaxy will be released on October 26, 2021 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
