More Returning Cast for Hancock 2

More Returning Cast for Hancock 2

It's not hard to guess. It's the only main character that's not secretly a god.

Yes, you guessed it, Jason Bateman will be returning for Hancock 2, joining Will Smith, Charlize Theron, and director Peter Berg in returning.

Bateman hasn't officially signed on yet, but seeing as he and Peter Berg say that he is returning it's pretty certain that we'll see him again. I don't think a sequel is needed. The first one was terrible, and a sequel would only make it worse.

So what do you think? Should he return? Should they make a Hancock 2? Could a sequel possibly make the first movie look better? Discuss it all and more below. I don't know if Bateman's actually needed. He kind of brought down the story a little bit and I found him kind of annoying. But he is the girl's husband, so it's better if he does return. Seeing as the story is about the superhero/god place that Smith and Theron came from, Bateman is kind of unnecessary.

I have to disagree. It was good to see Bateman back up on screen. He did a great job. If you don't want him the next one just have the next story take place 70 years or so in the future of something. That takes care of it.

I am not a fan of sequels. What is worse than a bad sequel? A bad sequel to an already bad movie. Will Smith and Jason Batemen are above this. Charlize Theron can flaunt anywhere she wants. Just don't understand how they're going to pull funds for this. The ideas may have been grown-up, but the movie, to me, seemed very PG. They couldn't have made much money off of it though. I don't remember action figures or other child-associated things that would've made them enough profit to give the green light on such a piece of trash. Ugh, my job has corrupted me. Seeing everything from a marketing perspective now.... All-in-all, bad movie, and the sequel cannot be that much better unless his power base becomes a bit more original than Superman that can't be near his girlfriend.

My advie to you Hyson is to just not Watch Sequels then.

Cus the Majority Wants to see a Sequel when it comes to Superheroes movies like these.

As Long as they make the Story Better and feature less of Bateman then Im good.

I want to see more Hancock in sum Serious Battles and also a glimse of his Homeworld in a flashback would be nice as well.

I think they can squeeze a 3rd Sequel out of this and then make sum Prequel Movies to Handcock (As LEE susgested several times already)

LOL!

;D

Why don't they get Ratner to direct this one. He is good at killing things.

@NubaX: When you say super hero movies like "these," do you mean off-brand super heroes like Hancock? I don't quite understand what you mean by that. You say that the story needs more improvement, and that is one thing I will definitely agree with you about. You've pinpointed one of the problems already: "serious battles." Superman has serious battles because there are people who can rival him. While Luthor is an amusing enemy of Superman, Doomsday is my favorite Supes villain. Could you imagine that one in a Hancockiverse? Even with a prequel, I feel like they sheltered in the story too much with how they designed everything.

And I will still argue that it's boring to see a Superman who can't go near Lois. Besides, going from anti-hero to boy scout made the Hancock character bland for me.

No, I do not feel this merits a sequel, and I feel sorry for the actors that return. I would rather see Will Smith take up the black Capt. America role than this.

you guys are a bunch of [frick]ing hypocrites, yous say the first one was good, then you say you want a sequel, now all of the sudden the first one sucked and nobody wants a sequel when the cast is on board, i've said it once and i'll say it again...."man, i love being a..." WAIT! wrong thing, i meant to say "everything sucks if isnt TDK"

and its true, cause supposedly The Dark Knight is "the best movie ever made" right now, PLEASE! it was great but it wasn't the best thing in years, it didnt even come close to [frick]ing Best Picture oscar nom!

Both hancock and I am legend made like 500 million worldwide plus DVD sales etc. Say what you want they both made a shitload of money. And that's the #1 requirement for a sequel. Not always a goood thing but it's true. Coupled with smith being the worlds biggest box office draw and sequels are a no brainer.
