First Trailer For Joss Whedon & Drew Goddard's THE CABIN IN THE WOODS

After a loooong build up we finally have our first footage from Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard's horror flick starring Thor himself Chris Hemsworth. Be warned, there are a few big SPOILERS

This has been a long time coming. After hearing about the mysterious horror project from producer/writer Joss Whedon and director Drew Goddard it seemed to sort of fade away for quite a while. Then suddenly we had a teaser poster and now a full theaterical trailer too. Have a looksee but skip it if you want to know nothing at all about the plot..











Hmmm. Seems like there could be a bit of a sci-fi element there too. It certainly looks interesting, and seems to be hinging on us accepting that although it looks just like every other type of movie of it's ilk out there that it will be something different. I still don't think it looks particularly good though! How bout you guys? The Cabin in the Woods is scheduled for release in US theaters April 13th, 2012. And there are prequel comic book adaptations in the pipeline too.

I think it looks ok at best. Just because it might have a few twists and play on the usual genre cliches etc doesn't mean it will be good. Looks like the usual bunch of annoying walking dead teens to me. But we'l see.

at first it looks like any other generic horror movie with teens getting drunk in the forest...and then BAM! it goes all Twilight Zone on our asses.

I'm sold! These types of movies are the kind of movies I definitely like. Can't wait for this movie. Looks like it'll be freaky scary.
