"The horror sequel will be released in theaters at the same time as "Saw 7," which is on October 22nd. In order to begin building awareness ahead of its competition, "Paranormal Activity 2" has to release its trailer first and cannot wait until Comic-Con to do so."

In my opinion, I can't wait since the first one was great and a box office success.

This of all movies doesn't need a sequel It'll take away the realism. What made this movie so scary was the realism.Can anyone say...."Blairwitch Project"?

Paranormal Activity was pretty bad, it had some redeeming qualities but overall the movie was shit.

I never laughed so hard at a horror film, the scene with the possessed girl eating her arm off? Not only did it look terrible, the acting was atrocious. The ending was crap too, no way would the cops just gun down a chick because she was holding a knife, they would at least try to subdue her in some fashion, not take her life.

I did however like the build up, I enjoy the little things, like her just standing at the foot of the bed for hours. It's just enough out of the realistic aspect to make it eerie. But they lost it after the exorcism and went straight down hill.

The alternate ending was better, but even that felt out of place in the film all subtlety went out the window, you can tell it was someone else's decision to change the ending.

i always wonder why people said it was scary.. the only part the kinda freak me out was the ending when she went close to the camera :(

@Thekevin What realism? This movie was so horrible and fake.

@TABOO I won't bash on you for liking it, everyone has different tastes but sorry I think Twilight sucks and I have read the books and watched the first 2 movies. Horrible... worst than Paranormal Activity.

This movie was stupid.

Just fitting to put this garbage fest in front of the worst garbage fest in movie history LOL. This was garbage as was Blair Witch (I dont know what the big deal about Blair Witch was, it wasnt scary at all)

Whats a sham is they put Harry Potter in front of Twilight as well, STUPID, put the highest grossing franchise film series in front of Airbender, that would make more sense.

It's funny that this movie is being released around the same time as Saw 7. You'd think that Saw would remind studios to NOT make unnecessary sequels to cool stand-alone horror movies.
