Man, I was really hoping that Tony Stark would punch her in the face to get his alcohol back... Maybe him in the Ironman suit, just forgetting that he was in it... It could be part of that scene where she is holding that bottle behind her back.

If someone could find the picture, I would appreciate it... couldn't find it.

Goodness. I hope her acting is better in IM2 than it was in the first one. "NO TONY. DON'T! YOU'LL DIE!' A punch to the face would add some character development.

And even if it's not true, as soon as I saw the headline, I was reminded of how much the whole theatre cheered when Maguire backhanded Dunst while watching Spider-Man 3. I just couldn't help laughing. Not at her getting punched, but at how the audience reacted lol

I didn't know people hated Paltrow. Am I one of the few that doesn't? lol I don't hate her, but I don't really like her, either. I'm just neutral.

Oh great. Something else that's ludicrious that'll sway people to see IM2 with such anticipation. I don't know what people have against Gwynth. I'd rather see ScarJo get punched in the face instead. That snobby little princess deserves it more that Gwynth.

Hey zero, I never heard that about Spidey 3 before because the audience didn't respond like that when I saw the movie. I really don't think people has any reason to hate Dunst but after seeing Tobey's perfomance, he shoulda got bitchslapped instead.

@skullboy: I doubt it happened at every theatre location, let alone every showing. But when I was watching Spider-Man 3 in theatres, people in the audience started laughing and cheering when Dunst got backhanded.

A lot of people just don't like Dunst as MJ. And in Spidey 3, it ended up being worse 'cause her character was made out to be really whiny and annoying throughout that film.

Zero, I don't in what way shape or form she was whiney especailly since Tobey did it in the worse way. If a girl's boyfriend decided to go kiss another girl in the lips how would she feel? Kirsten didn't get the credit where it was due. She did a fine job as MJ. Doubters shouldn't take that away from her just because she's not their ideal woman to them even if she didn't play MJ.

Uh...okay. I guess we saw different movies. I'm not talking about when Gwen kissed Spider-Man during his ceremony where the town finally started to acknowledge him as a hero, and not a menace (as I see it being a normal reaction). I'm talking about MJ's character throughout the whole film. Dunst maybe did a fine acting job, but the character of MJ in the film was far from being ideal. She was being quite unreasonable at times.

I'm probably just gonna stop here 'cause I know where this is gonna go, and I doubt there's a way to get out of this. I don't dislike Dunst as MJ enough to further explain this; I'm only stating what I've seen in my own experience and from what I hear from the majority of fans.

There are reasons as to why quite a few people didn't like MJ in the third film. Not specifically Dunst, but MJ. Most people I've talked to were upset with how MJ turned out to be in the film. And I guess there are quite a few people that just didn't like Dunst, period. If you really want to know as to why this might be, maybe someone else will pick this topic up.
