We all know Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D will be appearing in Iron Man 2. Heck, they were already around in the first movie and it got a nod in The Incredible Hulk. One of, if not THE most popular things involved with S.H.I.E.L.D is The Helicarrier. Well, The Helicarrier looks like it is definantly in Iron Man 2! The video game trailer reveals it, you can see it hovering in the sky pretty easily at 0:45 seconds!



Also, its been rumored that they were shooting top secret stuff with this green screen, and it has been mentioned by many that they beleive it is The Helicarrier!



I know this is not necessarily a confirmation, but it definantly gives hope!

This is possible. Also in the scene that hey talk about in the trailer where Pepper kisses Iron Man's helemt and throws it off the plane, she could be tossing it off the hellicarrier. Who knows?

My guess is the helicarrier will just be in the preliminary stages of being built. They'll show schematics for it at some point so all the fan boys can cream their collective shorts and the rest of the world will be completely indifferent. And then Robert Downey will crack wise.

Hmmm....I guess I'm the only one that doesn't think this means anything. I mean, it's pretty common in the game adaptations of films to beef up the story, characters, and locations just so you have more to play. Look at all the Spider-Man games, for example. I mean, I would LOVE it if they had the Helicarrier in this, I just don't think it's any confirmation...yet.

@Shibazz - I played the first one...was not thrilled with it, and I sold it. A game has to be pretty bad for me to not even finish it before I get rid of it. :-/ But this new game does look better than the last!

I agree with Multi.

I've seen many trailers for this game and I already know for a fact that most of the stuff I saw in those trailers will not be in the movie. Same can be said about the first game. They always throw extras into these games to make them more appealing.

...but who knows for sure.

I spotted this yesterday in MarvelFreshman's article (didnt think to make an article of it though, lol)

I would have thought that this is just in the game but ever since I first saw the picture of the giant green screen I've always thought that there was a chance that could be used for a shot of the Helicarrier being built or something near the end of Iron Man 2!

i would love to see the helicarrier, but just because its in the game does NOT mean it will be in the movie. anyone thats ever played a video game based on a movie knows that the games add a LOT of things that don't appear in the actual movies. they add villains, characters, places...pretty much anything. so this should definately not be taken as gospel.

but its not exactly far fetched either

but if we went by this theroy
superman returns would of had metallo and bizaro and loads more , if you played the game . but they were both rubbish anyhow

How exactly do you equate an element being present in the game to absolute certainty that it will be in the movie? Is there nothing else that needs a large green screen in the movie? This is not news, merely speculation; who decides what gets posted on this site?
