Filming is still underway on the new Men in Black movie, and thanks to a behind-the-scenes photo from the set we have another look at the suited-and-booted heroes of the upcoming... sequel?

Though initially pegged as a reboot with Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson replacing Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as the leads, the fact that Emma Thompson is reprising her role as MIB Chief Agent O would seem to confirm that the movie will connect to the previous three entries in the franchise.

While dull details of the plot remain a mystery for now, we do know that Agents H (Hemsworth) and M (Thompson) will be "drawn into a murder mystery that has extraterrestrial implications."

Men in Black is set to zap into theaters on June 14, 2019.

I just hope this isn’t like the ghostbusters reboot in the sense that it has nothing to do with the last 3 films. A small cameo by smith or jones would be ideal but unlikely. Although I can still wish for it. Cause smith and Hemsworth bouncing off each other would be great.

@Mrcool210 - Hemsworth was the best part of Ghostbusters.

@Mrcool210 - This is connected to the originals. Just the UK branch of the MiB.

@Mrcool210 - honestly, most of my criticisms of what was an otherwise okay (not bad, not special) reboot, would have been fixed by having that movie take place in the present day of the world that started in Ghostbusters 1.

@Ronan3Accuser - his comedic timing is just... damn. Wish everyone had discovered it sooner.

@ftf530 - I don’t think Thor 1 and 2 needed it. He needed to go through the growing pains and mature. 2 needed it more than 1 but 3 was just pure entertainment all around. I doubt he’ll be cracking to many jokes in Avengers 4. He and Marvel really need to make a 4th installment and show that triologies are for quitters.

@Ronan3Accuser - thor 1 didn't but what Im saying is that it seems like NO ONE had discovered his comedic timing until around the ghostbusters reboot, which was well after all but his last two thor appearances.

Thor 2 could have used a lot but let's not talk about that.

@Ronan3Accuser - also agreed on the need some more trippy space thor action.

Bring on another trilogy, Taika.

@ftf530 - It’s so hot right right now they would be foolish not to do at least one more. King Thor.

@ftf530 - his comedic talent was discovered in vacation guy was funny I'm that imo

@Ronan3Accuser - YUP

I also think it's safe to say he aint dying in the next movie, I think that would be too easy an out for his character at this point

The emotional tension of someone dying would most be between cap and tony or bruce and nat (or anyone tony believes he is responsible for bringing into the avengers)

@BoyWonder - I'll be honest I saw the reviews for that and never gave it a chance. Didn't even remember he was in it.

Have you seen him in Ghostbusters? It's honestly the only part I remember from that movie (even though I really don't think it was as bad as people claimed it was, but I don't think we're doing anyone favors by getting into that)

@ftf530 - Hemsworth was the only good thing about vacation and yeah I've seen Ghostbusters not a bad movie

@ftf530 - Oh someone is dying for good. Not Thor. They might throw us curveball sense everyone is expecting Cap or Tony, but no other character carries that much weight.
ftf530
ftf530 - 9/21/2018, 8:55 AM
@Ronan3Accuser - I just hope that it's not a "cap dies before tony and he can make amends" deal cause like. Tony would never recover.

@ftf530 - They both die at the same time. Each wearing their own infinity gauntlet. They hold hands and run at Thanos. Launching into the air both their fists find there mark and explode on Thanos’ face. The blast is two powerful and before they die. They hug it out. The End.

@Mrcool210 - agree, Hemsworth and Smith would be good. Maybe if this movie works out, Smith can cameo in the next one. Tessa and Chris have great chemistry, so this should work out.
