Promoting her recent drama flick
Melancholia, 'Mary Jane' actress of the
Spider-Man trilogy, Kirsten Dunst, weighed in on recent comic book movies requiring fans to wait after lengthy credits, only to get an even shorter teaser. Apparently not of fan of the strategy, which Marvel Studios uses to develop connections for its cinematic universe, watch Dunst briefly discuss the matter below, via
IFC.
"The one thing about the movies now when I go with my friends that are really into 'Captain America,' or whatever -- we have to sit there through the whole credits and then wait at the end for these clips that are a couple minutes long that preview the next movie and I find that really annoying. [laughs] We really have to sit here through the entire credits so we can watch two minutes of a movie that's coming out next year? I don't like that whole thing, but I know that's really geeky and awesome for everyone else. For me, I find it really irritating. [laughs]"
These post-credits scenes, of course, became popular when Samuel L. Jackson appeared in
Iron Man, connecting Marvel's cinematic universe. And considering the Marvel's president of production has revealed the highly-anticipated movie, that all the other solo films have been leading up to,
The Avengers, will also have a teaser after the credits, it's safe to say these stingers are here to stay. But what do you think of Kirsten Dunst's comments; do you agree?
