Mark Millar Reveals Who He Would Like To See As 'Johnny Bolt' In SUPERCROOKS

Mark Millar and Leinil Yu's fantastic four-issue Supercrooks miniseries has ended so now we're waiting on Nacho Vigalondo's big screen adaptation. Taking to Twitter, Millar has shared his thoughts on who he would like to see play lead character 'Johnny Bolt'.

It's thought that Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes) will begin work on the big screen adaptation of Supercrooks at some point next year, so we're obviously still a good while away from any casting news. With a large ensemble cast, it should be VERY interesting to see who signs up for the various characters featured in the critically acclaimed Mark Millar and Leinil Yu series. Last night, Millar took to his Twitter account (@mrmarkmillar) to share his thoughts on who he thinks should play 'Johnny Bolt', the leader of the gang who pull off the thrilling heist. As you can see, this is just speculation on the Millar's part, but after two successful adaptations - Wanted, Kick-Ass - and more on the way, the writer definitely wouldn't struggle to attract big names like this.

Does Millar make comics for the love of the genre or to just make movies? If its all about Hollywood, then write screenplays. I understand the comics go to the big screen, but I like to think that creators create for the love of the industry not solely for the purposes of the big screen.

Reynolds should not be in any other CBM until he fulfills his commitment to Deadpool

Comic was great. I can't see Cooper as Bolt, he just seems too old. Bolt was younger and more reckless. And I agree that Reynolds is a bit played out.

Make an animated film out of Old Man Logan already!!!!!!!!

RR getting blame for GL and Wolverine is bullshit. The movies sucked but his performances in both was good.

cooper seems perfect to me. then again what about chris pine? im not over the moon for him, but this kinda seems like a generic 'cocky-in-a-fun-way' white guy role so theres a million actors who could do it.

I say Bradley Cooper as well he needs a superhero-esque movie under his belt. I still think he would be perfect for The Flash, along with Ryan Gosling.

What do people see in Reynolds & Cooper? Why does everyone consider them perfect for EVERY comic book character. The only comic book character fit for Reynolds is Deadpool. And none for Cooper, he's absolutely mediocre.

I actually like RR as Hal Jordan... he just didn't have much to work with... I could see him as GL in a JLA movie
