Martin Freeman Teases A Special Episode of SHERLOCK; "It's A Fantastic Idea"
Actor Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) has hinted at the possibility of a special, one-off episode of the hit TV show Sherlock. Though it may never go ahead, he has high hopes that creators Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat can work it out.
Fans of the BBC series Sherlock know that it's a long wait between seasons, with two years passing before a third wave of episodes arrived. Martin Freeman, who plays Dr. John Watson, has revealed that there could be a one-off episode in the near future. "Mark Gatiss [co-creator] may beat me up, but there is an idea for this one-off special that’s such a good idea, and as I was listening to it I thought 'we’ve just got to do this.' And I don’t know when we are going to be able to do it, unfortunately." He reiterated his excitement and scepticism by saying that "it’s a fantastic, really mouth-watering idea. But I really don’t know when we are going to get to do it.” It certainly would be nice to see something and not have to wait another two years. Would you like to see a special episode, or would you rather wait for full episodes? Sound off in the usual place.
