Matthew Vaughn is directing KICK ASS, which centers on a high school kid,
Dave Lizewski, who wants to be superhero. Though he has no powers he goes after bad guys and things begin to change leading up to some very violent action.

Nicolas Cage is signing on to play an ex-cop. He is trying to bring down a drug lord and he has also trained his daughter (to be played by Chloe Moretz) "to be a lethal weapon."

Rounding out the cast actor Aaron Johnson is taking on the lead role of Dave Lizewski while actress Lyndsy Fonseca is set to play the love interest.

Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad) was recently cast in the role of Red Mist, who wants to reveal KICK ASS' identity.
