He may sound like Ian McKellen in a wind tunnel, but old Bane still managed to rise to the top with over 50% of the votes. Unsurprisingly, The Avengers' Loki came in second - but trailing Bane quite a bit with 1,741 Votes (38.36%). I really thought The Lizard from TASM would make third, but I'm pleasantly surprised that it was Ma Ma Madrigal from DREDD with 240 Votes (5.29%). Then Talia from TDKR came in fourth, leaving the scaly git to make do with fifth place. Some poor souls actually voted for the bad guys from Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance too. Here are the results in full..

My Rises Steelbook just came in. Now I can refine my Bane and Batman impressions. Unrelated note: The Hobbit in HFR 3D (w/ Dolby Atmos) was my second most intense cinema experience this year (after Rises in 70mm IMAX). That's coming from someone who hasn't even seen The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy (not yet).

Loki got butt [frick]ed by the Avebgers and couldnt lay a finger on them, Bane got killed by the bitch from Princess diares, yet Lizard ( who could easly eat Bane and kill Loki) is worst than a movies villan that NO ONE CARES ABOUT.

lizard didn't lose because this was rigged. he lost because he was a cliche, boring, poorly written, stupid-looking villain.

and the poll is 'favorite villain', not 'most threatening'. so i won't even bother arguing your point about his threatening-level because it was entirely irrelevant to what's going on here.

Loki killed 80 people in 2 days, nearly crashed the SHIELD helicarrier, and led the force that would have taken over the world if not for the formation of a team of superheroes. There are about 4 people on Earth at the time of the story who would actually stand a chance of bringing him down in a fight. I'd say that makes him a pretty significant threat.

Bane and Loki were both fantastic, but I somehow enjoyed Bane's perfromance quite a bit. I mean, Hiddleston was brilliant, but there was just something that makes Tom Hardy's Bane more special, to me. And yes, despite the weak exit.

Now, whoever voted for Roarke and Blackout deserve to be Penance-Stared.

it's a FAVORITE villain poll.

what're you trying to do? argue that you know what people like more than they do themselves? it's irrelevant who according to you was more threatening, or more of a challenge.

52% people liked bane best
38% people liked loki best

@todandy bane wasn't a henchmen, him and talia had the same plan which was to break the bat and kill the city so how is that a henchmen? You do realize Loki was ACTUALLY a henchmen right? He was answering to someone who in turn was answering to someone else lol just sayin.. Was not loki's own plan, thanos needed the tesseract so hired that ugly blue guy who in turn hired Loki. I could cut up what you said all day bro.
