Priest Release Date Pushed Back For 3D Treatment

With this move, other films get different release dates as well.

Priest, starring Paul Bettany, is the latest movie to hop on the 3D bandwagon. The bigger news here though is that the movie's release date is moving from August 20 of this year to January 14, 2011.



With this announcement, Sony has decided to move some of their other releases around. Takers, another of 2010's action team flicks, will take the August 20 spot moving from May 14.


The studio has also moved the Kate Beckinsdale sequel Underworld 4 from January 21, 2011 to September 23, 2011.

DogsOfWar-That is a big push for a movie, 5 months. Clash Of The Titans didn't change dates at all with the changeover to 3D. Its possible they are trying to put a little more distance between this movie and Legion which has the same star and director.

I thought BECKINGSALE was in it for a min lol, till i read it!

Great stuff @ DOGS, PRIEST could actually look really good in 3D, dunno about GHOSTBUSTERS etc though??!

Leee@ how can you doubt the awesomeness of a 3D Ghostbusters movie? It is one of the very few movies that I think could look genuinely cool in 3D. Think of the photon streams and the traps. Think of slimer at the screen from a distance. It would be wicked awesome!

Huh. Same day that Cabin in the Woods got pushed back to so it could be in 3D.
