JURASSIC WORLD Soundtrack Release Date & Tracklist Unveiled

Universal Pictures & Back Lot Music have announced the release date and unveiled the tracklist for Michael Giacchino's Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Jurassic World. Come check it out! The Colin Trevorrow-directed film, which stars Chris Pratt in the lead, hits theaters June 12th!

John Williams' original soundtrack/score for 1993's Jurassic Park is a tough act to follow, but if there's anyone up to the task, it's Michael Giacchino. The Academy Award-winning, Emmy-winning, and Grammy-winning composer is already somewhat familiar with the Jurassic Park franchise, having scored the video game soundtracks for The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Warpath: Jurassic Park back in his early career. 

A few of his more recent high-profile film projects include the scores for Mission: Impossible 3Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Tomorrowland, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, Up, and The Incredibles. His Jurassic World soundtrack is one of the more anticipated film scores of the year and fans can expect to find it in stores everywhere June 9. Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.

I reckon they'll kill Indominus Rex or whatever it's f*ckin called,when they lure it to that huge water dinosaur,the one that eats the Shark in the trailer.

Before someone says something about the titles: check the soundtrack list for DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES. For the love of god, please check it out. Same guy, same puns. So many damn monkey puns.. but hey the music is great man. And some of them are funny.

Hahaha!!

As far as I can recall, Giacchino has done this for basically every film he's composed.
And actually, I appreciate how it helps hide blatant spoilers in the track titles.

One needs only to look at Giacchino's masterful use of leitmotif on six seasons of LOST to recognize that this guy is a musical genius.

If there's a complaint to be had about his work, it's that whoever produces it tends to keep the sound dry, without the echo-ey reverb that suggests a large recording space.
