It's weird because when the page first loads I can read the whole article and then it quickly hides everything behind the button.

Rise of Skywalker was awful and it was alone still better than all three prequels.

@Tsunvalley - Other than Mcgregor, the acting is worse in the prequels, the effects are worse (and don't try to pull "they are older" card, so is the OT and that has better effects than prequels), the fights are worse, the dialogue is worse...

Hate the sequel trilogy all you want, but trying to retroactively say that the prequels were great/overhated is just silly

@zachman2013 - Clone Wars is the gift that just keeps on giving.

@zachman2013 - I'm waiting for my dad to get home to watch Episode 10 but 9 was absolutely phenomenal. Ahsoka descending down to the surface of Mandalore has got to be one of my favourite minutes of anything in a while — especially just speaking Star Wars.

@Nebula - It just feels so powerful. I cant wait for next week. I hope they use this exact same animation style in her sequel series. Ashoka kicks all kinds of ass. I'm surprised Disney did not have her in TROS.

@PlusUltra - I'm one of the few here who hasn't watched The Clone Wars. I really need to start watching. That's an awful lot of Star Wars content I'm missing out on. Initially, I was kinda put off by the art style, but I'm pretty sure I can get past that.

@BruceParker - both the Clone Wars and Rebels are great and have stories that end up being essential information and context for the films. The animation improves as the seasons progress. This is high quality content.

The sequels were definitely not as I expected but I got some enjoyment outta 7 and 9 which is far more enjoyable then the prequels were. Besides Obi,Qui-Gon Jinn no character in the prequels were entertaining enough to make up for that cluster F. Now granted the sequels for the most part were a mess. But we got some fun moments in 7 and 9 and BB8 was definitely a nice addition.

The prequels are very bad.. BUT they told a story... albeit badly told. But at least it told a story. I can't say the same for the recent trilogy.

The prequels were a classic example of an old man trying to make something to fit the tastes of his grandchildren.

Say what you want about the new flicks, but at least I believe that they were filled with things that the filmmakers themselves were excited about and not just saying “Kids will like this, right?”

Keep your fart jokes and Jar Jar.

@TheJustinHammer - Which is probably why the fart jokes, Jar Jar, and similar stuff stood out so much. Lucas took a story he had imagined back when he was young and made it with his youngin's in mind instead of himself as the audience. Hell, inexplicably starting with a 6 year old as a main character shows it.

Rogue One was a dark story told with the sensibilities of adults. No matter how hard of a turn Lucas tried after The Phantom Menace, he couldn't correct things because he was grasping in the dark... he was never making those movies for himself, so he could never judge what worked or what didn't.
