James Cameron And Tim Miller's New TERMINATOR Movie Finally Has A Release Date

We've been hearing new details about Tim Miller's upcoming Terminator movie all day and Paramount Pictures has now announced a release date! Here's a hint: it's coming even sooner than we all expected!

Good news Terminator fans; the next instalment from producer James Cameron and director Tim Miller is set to hit theaters on July 26th, 2019. That's much sooner than we anticipated and means shooting will kick off next year. Three attempts have been made to resurrect the franchise since Terminator 2: Judgement Day was released in 1991 but they've all been terrible and really hurt the franchise.

A writers room for the currently untitled movie was put together consisting of David Goyer, Charles Eglee, Josh Friedman, and Justin Rhodes alongside producers David Ellison and Cameron. Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to return as the T-800 alongside original Sarah Connor, Linda Hamilton. Anew cast is expected to be introduced who will then take over just like what's happened with Star Wars.

As of right now, the only other film set to be released on that date is an untitled Sony Pictured animated project. Two weeks before, the Top Gun sequel is coming and the week after this Terminator movie hits, we're getting Jon Favreau's live-action Lion King. Are you guys excited for this movie? As always, be sure to share your thoughts on this release date news in the comments section below.

Finally has a release date? This all has seemed since the beginning to be moving pretty fast to me.

North Korean SkyNet will attack before that date though.

@gulducati - If it tries it'll stomped into the ground by American Skynet and any missile it tries to launch at any of the other SkyNets will get shot down my interceptors. It might also lose support of Chinese SkyNet and if it's weapons hit the Bejing line it'll bomb the shit out of it. NK SkyNet may have weapons but it's not in a good place geographically for the threats it's making.

@MultiMedia996 - Good point. Then Westeros SkyNet will take out Middle Earth Skynet, but not before NeverNeverLand SkyNet self destructs.

Releasing on Dec 20 1984... when people still cared about Terminators

@Kman - The twist is that they will deliver a BluRay copy and there are no BluRay players in 1984, hence a Twilight Zone ending!

If they don't have star power behind it...other than Arnold...this could be another bomb.

If this next film fails...is that the end for this franchise?

I want just a trilogy set in the future, a proper future, not that salvation garbage.

Might have to see TOP GUN: Old Man Mav and T3: Old Cyborg Terminator twice to avoid the Lion King rip off.

This time they will have an African American Terminator.

@CrazyJ - Terry Crews should play Bishop in a solo Cable movie, chronicling the hunt/salvation for Hope. The irony is- it'll pretty much be Terminator 2's plot. My two cents...
