"If there was scope for it then sure I would," Colin Farrell told
Total Film in a recent interview when asked whether he would consider returning to star in a sequel to the Sony Pictures remake (released next month) from director Len Wiseman.
"I had such a blast working with Kate [Beckinsale], Jess [Biel] and on the character and in this world. I’d be mad not to do it. Then I’d go off and do something small. I don’t want to limit myself to any one particular genre, or any one particular time of film that’s merit is judged on the size of its budget."
Surprisingly,
Total Recall is one of the few blockbusters out this year which isn't being released in 3D; a decision that Farrell is very happy with.
"If I heard this film was going to be 3D I don’t know whether I would have done it. I’ve seen some things that were great in 3D but personally, I just don’t need it - if the story’s good enough. Maybe my kids will need it, but I just don’t need the picture to come out." He adds,
"Some people say it’s a better representation of how you see things in the world but I don’t really buy it. It worked for me personally in the Werner Herzog documentary, I really liked it in that." Click on the link below to read the interview in full.
