James Cameron announces 4 new AVATAR sequels

Cinema Legend James Cameron announces not one, not two, not three but four return trips to Pandora!

James Cameron took to the stage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas to announce that he is working on the Avatar sequels and there will now be 4 - rather than the previously announced 3.

Whats the reason behind this increase in sequels?

Too much story according to Cameron! He said that during planning, they have "began to bump up against the limitations of our art form" and that they realised they needed more films to tell all of these stories.

The sequels will stand alone but form part of an overall "epic saga".

Cameron and his team have "decided to embark on a truly massive cinematic process" for these films.

The first film releases 2018 followed every two years by a sequel.

Avatar is the highest grossing film in box office history. Despite the many apparent haters, the film has fans out there. There is no way that Cameron and Fox would be making these films if they didn't believe the audience was there.

Here's my thoughts on the first film - http://the-lonely-geek.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/am-i-only-avatar-fan-left.html?m=1

Let the inevitable Pocahontas with Smurfs  comments begin...but I'll see you in line when these open!
