Harrison Ford On Board For STAR WARS EPISODE VII

Harrison Ford On Board For STAR WARS EPISODE VII

Disney is moving full steam ahead with all things Star Wars. Between the new trilogy and a batch of stand alone film, in the upcoming years there will be no escaping the brand. When it comes to the new trilogy, lots of speculation has been made about whether or not Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, or Harrison Ford would be reprising their roles as Leia, Luke, and Han respectively. This morning, however, we have the answer to at least one of those. Latino Review is reporting that Harrison Ford will return for Disney's next Star Wars Saga.

In the past Ford has said he would be open to the idea of returning to the Star Wars universe. With him signing on, which LR is saying that it's a pretty big deal and would seem to indicated it's not a a small role, it could likely mean that Fisher, and Hamill might not be too far behind. However, there has been no word on them as of yet, so keep your fingers crossed. For the latest on all thing Star Wars, check back here at CBM.

Is there a source on this? Don't see this bigger than huge news ANYwhere. It's big enough of a story that there should be SOMEthing...SOMEwhere.

NO NO NO NO NO...not even a cameo, the original actors should NOT be part of these movies...maybe address them in some way but that's pretty much it.

Oh yh...here's an annoying picture before I go =)

"Scoop just hit the net, give it a few hours."

The way internet journalism works though, every site will report this and use this site as the source...which has no source. And then later today I'll be out somewhere and happen to over hear two nerds talking about how they saw it on several websites, so it must be true.

And I'm not saying it's not true. More commenting on how news spreads these days.

They need to have Hammil, Fisher, and Ford for at LEAST the first film, even if it's just to "pass the torch" as everyone seems to think. I am actually glad they are staying away from Timothy Zahn's trilogy (which was great btw) but I want to be SURPRISED with the new storyline. And besides, the main 3 are waaaaay too old now for those stories that came out 25 plus years ago. This way Luke's acadamey can already be established for a whole new generation of Jedi and we can get away from a movie that's all set-up. Looking forward to the next films and keeping a wide opened mind.

Goddamnit, it says the source is Latino Review in the article AND in the comments. Do you people read these things or just talk out your ass?

I still don't want to see Carrie Fishers old ugly ass in this movie. Can they just write her out as being dead? She looks dead in real life anyway.

He will not be doing to many action scenes I imagine, the only one who would do any type of action scenes is Mark Hamill as Luke with a possible lightsaber duel.

Jumpin jesus, I swear some people save their stupid pills up until right before logging into CBM.

Anyway, this is great news..and given Latino Review's track record (no their not ALWAYS right but then neither are the trades) I'll take this as legit until proven otherwise, it's not like we picked up the rumor at Cosmic Book News or something!

I hope this is true, Han Solo is the coolest character in Star Wars. Boba Fett is a close second.

I think this is a bad move by Disney. So it begins, the down fall. :D

I think it was already a bad move from the start to reanimate the Star Wars film franchise from the classic film grave. The only reason why they're doing this is for the wallets and purses. Star Wars: Return of the Jedi concluded the saga, most of the threats in the series were defeated. Disney has put a heavy weight on J.J. Abrams's shoulders that will be hard to lift.

People are asking for the sources, which means they don't understand journalism at any level. When the Wrap released the JJ Abrams news last month they didn't reveal their source (because they can get, like, fired.)

It works the same way.

Han Solo is the worst thing about Star Wars. I don't give a rats *** about the Han/Leia relationship in the original trilogy. Bring on the Lightsabers!

"Says Latino Review multiple times in the article with a link back to the source. "

Correct. And Latino Review has a video of the same guy who claims to know what will happen in Avengers 2 and 3 SAYING Ford is back.

Anyone can say such things. When Ford gives a quote, I'll believe it. Until then, I'll take it as more of a rumor than when Ford actually SAID he was open to it a couple months ago.

Anyone with a problem with the original cast reprising their roles in a SEQUEL are not real STAR WARS fans and got on board at the Phantom Menace.

Geek licenses have just been revoked.
