Those who were afraid that J.J. Abrams' good luck charm Greg Grunberg wouldn't be making an appearance in Star Wars Episode IX can rest easy. The actor, who is at San Diego Comic-Con promoting his documentary From The Bridge, was pretty evasive when asked about his role in the newest Star Wars film, but seemingly confirmed that he will be in the next installment.

Grunberg, who played Snap Wexley in The Force Awakens, told Yahoo News,  “You know what, we’d better or else my wife is going to kill me for growing a beard. I can’t officially say anything, but this is getting itchy, and I’m getting itchy to go over there and do it."

Most reports have Star Wars Episode IX starting production at the end of this month., so it would appear as if Grunberg will finish up his Comic-Con obligations and head over to England to start work on the film.

Star Wars Episode XI will release in theaters on December 20, 2019.

Does anyone actually care about this character though?

Who?

I'm sorry, but it's kind of reaching the bottom of a barrel when Yahoo News is having to interview actors who played miniscule forgettable roles in order to get a story. It sort of speaks to how far Star Wars has fallen - in any other scenario this would be interviewing a lead character or someone who had more screentime than a few minutes.

Nothing against the actor, but the character was forgettable due to a weak script and was given no focus. Nobody is really clamoring for the character to return because the role was small to the point of people not noticing.

I wonder if Kylo Ren will make snap into a kabob like he did to Han.
