As it is with most Marvel Studios movies, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings features a pair of after-credits stingers (one mid, one post), and we break down what happens in each of them below.
If you haven't seen the movie yet, it goes without saying that major spoilers follow.
The mid-credits scene is a doozy, as it all-but establishes the Master of Martial Arts as a future member of the new lineup of Avengers. The final scene of the film sees Wong pay a visit to Shang-Chi and Katy in a restaurant as they're recounting their adventures to a pair of skeptical friends. The sorcerer then opens a portal, and the three of them step through it.
After the main credits, we see our somewhat bewildered heroes speaking to Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) - who is now human again! - via holo-projection. Banner tells them that they'll be in touch, and while the details are a little vague, it's clear that they'll both be needed for something before too long. Wong then tells them to go home and get some rest, but Katy has a better idea, and we cut to the three of 'em singing drunken karaoke.
The post-credits scene probably won't have as much of a bearing on the future of the MCU, but it does seemingly set-up a Shang-Chi sequel. The sequence begins with Xialing back at her father's base, as we see Razor-Fist enter and tell his new ally that "they're ready for her." The daughter of Wenwu then walks outside and takes her place as the new leader of the Ten Rings. We assume she will turn the organization into a force for good, but that remains to be seen!
