SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Concept Art Features Scrapped Captain America "Cameo" & Chaos In Washington D.C.

A newly surfaced batch of Spider-Man: Homecoming concept art features a cameo of sorts for Captain America, alongside designs for a number of locations and that intense sequence in the nation's capital...

Thanks to concept artist Peter Mitchell Rubin, we have a new batch of artwork from Spider-Man: Homecoming. This gallery puts the spotlight mainly on the wall-crawler having to leap into action to save his classmates at the Washington Monument, while we also get to see a Captain America memorial outside which would have served as another cameo of sorts for the hero.

There are also alternate takes on a number of locations, and even the jet which Peter Parker helps to land during the reboot's final act. Also of note is a spider-drone of sorts, so this entire gallery is well worth taking a look at, especially with our first look at Spider-Man: Far From Home rumoured to be on the horizon.

It was around this time in 2016 that we got our first look at Homecoming and with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse swinging into
theaters later this month, it would be crazy to think that Sony Pictures won't deliver something for Far From Home. For now, to check out this concept art, all you guys have to do is click on the "View List" button down below.

@BlackBeltJones - [frick] that Cap should have monument in DC and in Brooklyn. Actually Cap should have a REAL LIFE monument in Brooklyn.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Yea I remember this but it wasn't permanent, it moved around to different locations for that year but it isn't there anymore. I want a permanent statue of Cap and Superman in the United States as they stand for everything this country...nay...this world should strive for.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - it should have been a statue with his original costume

@LongMayHeReign - Yeah, it's in the Liberty View plaza now. Perhaps displaying a fictional character in a public park is too silly for people.

Homecoming, along with Ragnarok, may be the most rewatchable MCU films yet. Both are among my favorites. I love how Homecoming sprawls across a timeline of Spidey going about his day saving people. By the time we hit the ferry scene, I really got a comics feel of a day-to-day Spidey schedule. Hard to explain, but I feel Homecoming gave a great perspective of Spidey's point of view. He patrolled and saved a lot of people and stopped a lot of crimes. You get that overloaded schedule feeling that the video game was good at conveying as well. You need that classic Parker pressure.

Sigh. I’m still upset we won’t have Tom Holland’s Spider-Man & Charlie Cox’s Daredevil meet up

That’s the only thing I ever wanted in the MCU. Don’t care what else they did so long as one day, my 2 favorite Marvel heroes could team up like they do in the comics
