AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2: Marc Webb Offers First Sneak Peek Of The New Mask

Marc Webb has once again taken to his Twitter account to tease The Amazing Spider-Man 2, this time revealing a mysterious video which offers up a glimpse of the new lenses which will make up Spidey's mask. Hit the jump to take a look at the video!

Marc Webb recently revealed that just a couple of the alterations to the suit in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 would be "bigger eyes" and "gnarly web shooters". Well, as you can see from the video and screengrab below, we now have a first look at those larger lenses. Various comic book artists have delivered differing takes on them over the years, although these definitely seem to be based on what many fans consider to be the "classic" look of the iconic Marvel superhero. In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Show me the new suit already. I hope they keep the black pressed webbing and just make it the classic design, it could beat out raimi's suit.

@LordoftheThrones26 His mask is absolutely scrumptious, and his belt better be awesome too, I mean the belt or lack of in Amazing Spiderman was appalling according Josh Wilding not the choppy editing. So Star Lord better have a sexy mask AND belt.

@Jollem That is my favorite piece of John Romita Jr artwork ever. I love that cover! It's one of the first Spidey comics I got.

They look awesome. I didn't have a problem with the gold lenses, but these are AWESOME.

Surprisingly enough, for some Raimi fanboys (looking at you Jonny ;)), it's more comic accurate than the lenses in Raimi's trilogy.

@marvel72 agreed. My only real issue with the raimi costume was the blue was a bit too dark, almost to the point of being navy blue. I think the colours and pressed black webbing on TASM suit where the only things better than the raimi suit, in terms of design the raimi suit wins hands down.
