Sony’s animated Spidey flick, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, promises “limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.” Today we learned that Jack Ryan actor John Krasinski will be the voice of one of those characters, according to a source "close to the production."
FandomWire reports that Krasinski (The Office, 13 Hours) will voice the iconic Peter Parker in the upcoming animated Spider-Man movie. Krasinksi has reportedly been in the studio alongside Tom Hardy, who will both voice the animated Venom in Into the Spider-Verse and play Eddie Brock/Venom in Sony’s upcoming live-action standalone movie.
Peter Parker was briefly seen in the teaser trailer for Into the Spider-Verse sitting in the subway next to Miles Morales (Shameik Moore). It’s been revealed by writers Phil Lord and Chris Miller that Peter will be the “grownup in the room,” serving as a mentor to Miles Morales.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the creative minds behind The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street, bring their unique talents to a fresh vision of a different Spider-Man Universe, with a groundbreaking visual style that’s the first of its kind. “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask.
