The first trailer for Morbius received a mixed response from fans, though the presence of Spider-Man: Homecoming villain Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton) and artwork featuring the Sam Raimi version of the web-slinger certainly got people talking! After originally being pencilled in for a summer 2020 release, we'll now see the Marvel Comics adaptation in theaters (?) next March.
Recently, star Jared Leto (who has now wrapped reshoots for Zack Snyder's Justice League) shared a message for fans in Japan, and that's accompanied by a brief trailer for Morbius.
While the footage is mostly from that first teaser, there are a few brief new snippets, and...well, if you weren't sold on the movie before, this probably won't do much to change your mind! It certainly looks like Sony Pictures will deliver a unique take on the Living Vampire, but it's hard not to be intrigued.
After all, Morbius could be the movie that lays the groundwork for that live-action "Spider-Verse."
In the movie, Oscar-winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success soon reveals itself to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.
