During this "pandemic era" of box office takings, we've seen a lot of studios hurry to release movies on Digital and Home Entertainment platforms in an effort to attract those who still don't feel comfortable heading to the theater. However, with Spider-Man: No Way Home continuing to break box office records - including topping Black Panther with six weeks at #1 - it's no wonder Sony is in no rush.
A Blu-ray release has obviously been confirmed, but we still don't have an official date or any other details. However, thanks to trusted insider, Amit Chaudhari, we now know to expect "around 100 [minutes] of bonus content."
We're hoping for some featurettes exploring the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, though the secretive nature of their roles in the threequel could mean that won't be the case. On the plus side, we'll no doubt hear plenty from the movie's villains.
One deleted scene we probably can expect to see is Tom Holland's brother, Harry, playing a crook who the wall-crawler webs up moments before being doused in green paint. The actor previously confirmed that this ended up on the cutting room floor, and it sounds like a long enough sequence to justify a place here. The big question, of course, is whether we'll see more of the Spider-Men in action!
Spider-Man: No Way Home has been an unprecedented success, but the sooner we get to watch it again at home, the better. Hopefully, we won't be waiting too much longer for news on that front.
