Concept artist Marek Okon has shared more of his work from Spider-Man: No Way Home, this time highlighting the crazy visuals from that Mirror Dimension battle and the fight at the Statue of Liberty.
In the latter piece, we see Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield's Peter Parkers teaming up to take on the Green Goblin. Unfortunately, the two Variant Spideys didn't really get a chance to battle Norman Osborn during the movie's epic final battle, though Gobby did stab his Spider-Man in the back when the opportunity presented itself!
Ultimately, it's easy enough to see why Marvel Studios chose to focus on the MCU's Peter taking down the Goblin as Spider-Man: No Way Home made things intensely personal between them. The villain killed Aunt May, striking the greatest blow against the hero he's ever had to deal with.
The threequel confirmed that Norman doesn't exist in the MCU, so we won't see him or Oscorp in that world moving forward. It's a shame in many ways, but how a new Goblin top the one he just beat?
"It was a dream come true," Holland told us about his fight with Willem Dafoe's iconic villain. "Firstly getting to fight against the Green Goblin and then secondly that Green Goblin getting to be Willem Dafoe was amazing. It was honestly incredible. [There were] so many 'pinch me' moments. He would say things he had said in the previous movies and everyone would get chills down the back of their spines. It was awesome. It really was incredible and I couldn’t dream of a better version."
