Deadline reports that Spider-Man: No Way Home added $7 million to its massive overseas haul this weekend, marking a 21% drop from the previous week. It's no great surprise that takings are slowing down at this point, but its international cume has still risen to an undeniably amazing $1.072 billion.
As a result, the Marvel Studios/Sony Pictures threequel has now earned $1.85 billion worldwide.
That number means it's surpassed the original 1997/1998 run of James Cameron's Titanic. As of right now, Spider-Man: No Way Home is currently the sixth biggest movie of all time; short of a massive haul from a possible re-release (which seems unlikely now we're just weeks away from that Digital/Blu-ray debut), it's not going to bother the Top 5 movies as they all grossed over $2 billion.
The good news keeps coming for Tom Holland, though, because Uncharted managed to pass the $200 million mark globally this weekend. With $23.3 million domestic (find more details by clicking here) and $35 million from 64 overseas markets, an international total of $143 million means it sits at $226.4 million worldwide. Needless to say, we're expecting a sequel announcement soon!
The next big movie coming to theaters is The Batman, and all eyes will be on how Matt Reeves' reboot performs this weekend. Preview screening start tomorrow on IMAX screens, but the film doesn't open fully until Thursday evening. As of right now, a $115 million domestic opening looks likely, and we're anticipating big numbers overseas as well.
The Batman arrives in theaters on March 4.
