Picture Of Fully Costumed Spider-Man On The Los Angeles Set Of The Reboot!

It's from a distance, and a little blurry, but here is Spider-Man (with his mask, and no belt!) running down the streets of LA where filming too place late last night...

On Location Vacations have posted the following image that was sent in to them from filming on Grand Ave, outside of the Museum of Contemporary Art, in Los Angeles last night. It's not clear whether this is Andrew Garfield or a stunt man, but you can see that Spider-Man doesnt have his belt (as many fans were hoping he would after its absence from the official picture that was released last week) and the costume seems to be considerable brighter in colour.

One of our readers, Alex, sent us this great picture of Spidey running across the street and through “New York” traffic for the scene. His friend was able to catch the shot from his nearby apartment around 11 p.m. last night!

Yeah I hate how much the costume looks like the comic one yet it's not the same as the previous movies.........
Pisses me off when studios do a good job.....

Thanks guys. :) I'm surprised at just how much brighter it looks than in the photo they released a few days ago. Still not liking the lack of belt though. Here's hoping for a closer look at the mask sometime soon!

I'd also appreciate it if anyone here can do a closer shot of Spidey. Good effort to get the shot, but Spidey is so small it's hard to make out any details on him.

Thamessenger@ I know right!? The colours are just the right nuance. The design is just as the comics with some minor tweaks(seriously is the belt such a big deal?) And he got the freaking webshooters that Stan Lee originally conceived him with... But I guess you can never win :P

Ughh its kinda of annoying the lack of belt and the all bluish biceps. maybe he does have them and we cant see yet because of the angle. Spiderman, like superman, is a costume u CANNOT and should not tinker too much with in my opinion

Cool I can't wait for this reboot. Only thing that will make it better is if it were with Marvel Studios FOR SURE.

@ LuckyKyd: Lol I know it's odd what some people complain about. Me personally I like the fact that Garfield is slim. I rather have a slim Spidey then one that gets gradually out of shape as the series goes on.

See now... this doesn't make the "web shooter using" Spider-man anymore appealing to me. I'm all for this reboot, but if there's one thing i prefered from Raimi's films, it certainly was Peter's organic webbing powers. I fully understand that the web shooters make Peter to be a very interesting genius type character, i'm just saying we could've had that AND organic webbing from his wrists, if the script/screen writers were any good. I hate "all or nothing" mentality. Seeing Spider-man run through traffic makes me cringe like crazy. It doesn't make the plot anymore brilliant.

Josh- It might be blurry, but i can definitely distinguish a certain red area near his hip bones in this picture too. So with both pictures hinting at it, i'm almost certain he does have a belt.

@shaman, i agree. I just think its because Web wants this movie to be SOOO different from Raimi's films. But Raimi got some things right, Like organic webshooters, Awesome action and swinging scenes, And DOc OC was the best villain IN CBMS right behind Ledger joker to me. And yeah seeing spidey run is a sin lol

The thing about Raimi's costume is that it doesn't look believable. You would never think a kid with barely any money would be able to create that form of costume. At least with Webbs and looking like he might have torn some basketballs apart is believable.

@ Shaman & DAHAMMA: Remember the second Raimi Film peter was loosing his powers and the web shooters gave out on him several times.

Plus it he stays close to the comics then he will develop them.

Reminds me of the 1970's Spider-Man movies. I like the S-Man but they could have given it a rest for a few years. Perhaps Larry the Cable Guy will be in this movie and save it.

Can't really see any eyes on the costume.I hope they cg the eyes similar to Rorschach's mask in Watchmen so he doesn't have a static face.If they are playing up the genius aspect then it wouldn't be a stretch for him to make a mask like that.
